To start this Friday Favorites, I must advise you first and foremost not to forget to wash the conditioner out of your hair. It’s never a good idea. And then deciding to just blow dry it and hope for the best?
Well, that’s just a whole ‘nother level of disaster.
I speak from personal experience people.
It’s the opposite of this week’s theme, cuteness.
First, the shoes. I’m not typically an animal print kind of gal. But I adore the cuteness found in the leopard flat. I’m not sure at all if you can wear these into the spring and summer so I may be a day late and a dollar short on including these. But at $19.99 I couldn’t resist. Thank you Target.
The earrings. These just make me want to be nice to somebody. Not that I’m typically in the mood to be not nice. But slipping these on with a casual white t-shirt, your favorite jeans, a few slim gold bangles (and maybe even the leopard flats) just might make me want to hug you.
And that’s big. Because while I do love a good handshake, I’m an awkward hugger. But not in these earrings. I’m convinced.
The bag. This is one I’ll have to save for. It’s a bit pricey. But I think I could just casually sling this on and it might make even a grocery store trip fun. Oh who am I kidding. Grocery stores are never fun. But maybe with this purse they might be?
The necklace. Y’all know I write for and adore my friends at (in)Courage
Well, they recently came out with this “Redeemed Necklace” that I think makes for the perfect birthday little something-something for a friend. I love the layered charm look and the meaning of “redeemed.” I might have just bought one for you. See details below.
The Tea. I have no idea if I’d like the actual taste of this tea but I sure do like the thought of it. I’m trying to drink less sodas (I know, I know all my organic friends are just horrified that I like carbonated chemicals. They are all the time giving me scary articles to read. But the delight of the fizz just sometimes calls my name.)
Think of how impressed they’d be if they saw me just casually sipping on this tea with fruit hanging off the side. Is lemon a fruit? I’m thinking yes.
And finally the notebook. I just love something cute upon which to scribble my lists and thoughts and ideas. Life is too short to use the backs of receipts to entrust your most profound ideas, or absolutely not profound at all ideas.
So, back to the necklace I mentioned above. I’m giving one away today! Just leave a comment below telling me what you’d like to see covered on future Friday Favorites posts and you’ll be entered to win. And then the next time we see each other we could both wear them and be twins! Or not.
Smiles. Happy Friday.
I’d love to see more books in Friday Favorites and I would love to win!
Side note, I love your blog and your books. 🙂 You’ve have helped me tremendously over the past year. Thank you.
Peanut butter filled pretzels. That’s my Friday favorite.
I’d love a list of favorite blogs for Christian women, wives, and mothers
favorite verses, vacations, place where you have your devotions and what you need while meeting with the Lord- candles, pens (mine in multi-colors), favorite memories.
Does that help? Just some random ideas!
I’d like to see something to help generations “meet” – younger women really want the life messages of older women; older women open up more to younger women. Maybe the generational divide is “normal,” but it’s not Titus 2. How to fix this … ?
Happy Friday Lysa! I love all your posts but especially the Friday Favorites! This one is my favorite and after work today, I’m stopping at Target!! By the way, love the necklace! It would look so good around my neck!! Thanks for all you do for us!
I love these ideas! I pulled a cute top out of my closet today and had a friend tell me I looked so stinkin cute! Made my day. Plus the fact that my 9 almost 10 year old said, mom, you look cute!! I love all the ideas you suggsed and am ready to shop. I want some leopard flats, just not sure I can pull them off because I think along the lines of matchy matchy. Love you and your blog!
I would like to see you cover simple, inexpensive, fun ideas for Saturdays – to do with just the hubby or family or friends. We all need a little break from the everyday now and again.
This was such a charming blog entry! I’d like to know you more by your experiences of nature. Where do you go in nature? Do you sit by a lake? Hike a forest? Grow a garden?
I love this! How fun to see some of your favorites and styles right now. 🙂 Love the shoes and necklace! I’d love to see some ideas of inexpensive ways to impact those we pass.
Hmmm…I like seeing things you love, but don’t need encouragement to spend money. 🙂 I do love the necklace though!!!!! Creative free or low cost ideas of things you’ve actually done with your family. You don’t have to invent something new, just personal stories or rainy day/snow activities, summer ideas, etc.
I love a cute scarf…even for spring. It can perk up an outfit and make you feel pulled together in an instant. Love your recommendations…so cute!
Can I just say that I really LOVE the necklace? Because it reminds me of the song by Big Daddy Weave “I Am Redeemed”. I’ve heard that song, SOOO many times….but last Friday I had the chance to just really listen to the words and let them speak to me like they never had before….I was a big sobbing mess, thanking my God for redeeming me. This necklace would be a great reminder that yes, I AM redeemed.
I love everything you post and this has been a very difficult week so seeing your cute Friday ideas came me some cheer.
For future Friday posts, I would love to see Friday Fun where you talk about the weekend while staying connected to your soul. Mon – Fri is the viewed as the work week, yet most people get busier on the weekend, forgetting how to just “be” & have fun!
Love all the posts! I’m not a flats person, and usually, I very much dislike animal prints…however, jeans and white t-shirt – – I’ll wear animal print on a rockin pair of heels any day!!! 🙂 Keep the posts coming because they make me smile and wanna hug someone too! 🙂 LOL!
I just love everything about ya! As for Friday Favorites, hmm…you’ve done so well so far, that I simply say keep doing what you’re doing by sharing your heart with us 🙂 I always smile and feel like I’m hearing from a best girlfriend when I read the things you write candidly. Thank you for blessing all of us–may you be extra blessed today! MMMwwah! (that’s blowing a kiss, via a message;) )
I love to read and especially love to read during the summer. I would love for you to cover your favorite reads.
I would love to see a scarf. Sometimes I am afraid of accessories or color. I am getting better though! Thanks for posting the notebook. I have recently started carrying them to meetings and or customers offices just to add a little spring to my step 🙂 Lysa, I am so thankful to your ministry. I feel like you have become a sister 🙂
Hi Lysa – I love your Friday favorites!! How about sharing your top five favorite verses or worship songs?? I would love to have the necklace also – what a great reminder of our redemption and our Savior who redeemed us even thought we are so very unworthy!!!!!
I love the necklace! Never seen those before. On Friday favorites, I’d like to see some products that help us get scripture in front of our kids and families more – pretty erase board easels for the breakfast table, flip calendars, stickers, restickable wall art verses, etc! We are over-saturated with quotes and sayings from the world – we need more of God’s Word in our houses and lives 🙂
I’ve bought myself a pair of target animal print flats in the past and love them! I would like to see a Friday favorite covering paint and fabric choices for the home! My husband just lives repainting our rooms over and over 🙂 I’m a stay-at-home mama (emphasis on the stay-at-home, two in diapers=disastrous travels) and love to freshen it up a bit!
Your post are so inspiring to me. I love today’s Friday Favorite. Have a Blessed weekend!
What a great twist on an entry. It was refreshing (probably like the tea :-)) and thank you for just being you openly – hopefully it will encourage all of us to do more of the same. We are all loved immensely by the one who Redeemed us – why shouldn’t we all feel cute?!? God thinks we are!
By the way – I too would love to see you journal about your favorite reads!
Maybe I can still learn to accessorize or relearn – I seem to have forgotten from my younger days – because that necklace is adorable and meaningful! Future Friday Favorite ideas (love the alliteration there) – favorite easy family meals, favorite travel destinations, favorite craft projects for different types of things – redecorating, rainy days, and in the garden, for example.
I would love to see a Friday favorites on what you’re reading!
Hi Lysa! Love your blogs always!! I would love to see easy DIY stuff around the house OR marriage advice. have a blessed day and I LOVE your taste!!
I would love to see your favorite picture of the week and possibly your favorite bible verse that spoke to you and why. I have enjoyed reading your Friday Favorites and I’m glad you decided to blog about it. Sister in Christ ~Carol
Love Friday Favorites!! How about favorite getaway spots with the hubby and then some for the whole family?
Love those flats! I have been looking for a pair of leopard print flats that won’t “break the bank”! Thank you! I would love to see some fun lip and nail colors for Spring/Summer.
What a fun post! I love the comment from the other ladies, and think that having ideas for favorite things to do outside (in all seasons) or ways for generations to “meet” (I am personally a big fan of spending time with grandma aged ladies, they are always so amazing to listen to and have so much wisdom to share!), but one thing that would be great for me would be favorite ways to include your kiddos in your Bible study/devotional times. I’ve realized recently that I tend to do my Bible study and devos time when my little guy is napping or after he goes to bed, because that’s when I can really concentrate on it… but I’d love to include him in it, and help him to see how important that study is. So – I’m open to hearing ideas on how that might work! =-)
What a fun post! Ideas for future posts, maybe top 5 worship songs you love or books you have read!
Love the Friday posts, the shoes especially hit me hard. One of our co-workers passed away unexpectedly last week and she wore similar shoes to work! I know she is redeemed and hoping that message will ring throughout the rest of our office.
I particularly loved the post where you talked about how your daughter throws things together that just “fit” together and look awesome. I’d love to see more on these types of “creations”. I think we get too accustomed to things being matchy and in place. It’s nice to liven things up a bit with color or contrast! Oh, and BOY, would I love to be your twin in that necklace! (Just sayin…) (-:
First let me say that I love this idea – cute things to share! I wonder what music you listen to – any favorites there? Thanks for another opportunity to win really cool stuff 🙂
Wow, how can I pick my favorite? But I love the idea of the flats, earrings, necklace, jeans and white button up!!! So cute 🙂 How about some ideas for some good Christian movies?
Love all your picks! What fun! What would be your favorite books right now?
Love a little animal print touch with an outfit! love the necklace. We are doing the Made To Crave study…love reading your posts!
I love everything you do! Thank u! Some ideas for Fridays… Favorite books, verses, songs, recipes, just a few!
Anything you share is alright with me. I love hearing from you…it always hits the spot 😉 Thanks for all you do!
All I can ask for is a little link so I can buy my own cuteness with one click! I just love shopping with you! Happy Easter…I pray it’s lingering 🙂
I love your ideas and posts. How about a Frugal Friday where you give us your top 5 frugal ideas. I could use this one as I love to spend, but need to save more. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for these Friday Favorites. I am shopping for birthday presents for my almost 13 year old daughter. These items are unique and special. Thanks for passing on your fabulous finds!!
I love your Friday Favorites. I’m new to your post, but I can’t wait wait to see one pop into my mailbox.
I think a good idea for Friday Favorites would be your favorite comfort foods. Share a little of your favorite recipes (since I’m new, you may have already done that).
Thanks a bunch for sharing your love and your spirit with others.
I am redeemed!!!
Love todays post on cuteness! How bout posts on being thankful where God has us in our lives at the current moment and how to trust His will for our lives? Blessings!
I’m new to your posts, but so far love it! I really enjoyed today’s post with the cuteness…keep them coming! I think future posts about your favorite places/things to do to relax or de-stress, favorite beauty products, or favorite things to do with your children would be good. I really enjoy all you have to say so I’m very open to anything you may come up with! Thank you for all you do for women’s ministry. I am going through a difficult time right now and you have been a breath a fresh air for me!
Thanks for the great post, as always Lysa! Love the cuteness!
I love the necklace…..and the shoes are cute too….you aren’t giving those away are you? too bad.
Anyway. I’m with Kim….I would like to know what you like to read for fun. And what you like to read that’s serious.
Be blessed today!
Love your favorites posts so far – such great finds! I love to read and am looking for some great summer time books – some of your favorites would be a great start!
Love your Friday favorites! Love connecting with other women that strive to lead godly lives and help demonstrate ‘how to’ with raising girls. I have 3, and I’d like to see some Friday Favorites that link somehow to showing my girls God. Not just the checklist of what good Christians do, I want them to experience Him. How can I help them see Him through their little eyes?? How can I encourage them to dig deeper? Thx!
I love this post Lisa and i would definately LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the necklace b/c YES I Am REDEEMED!!!!! :))) i can’t express how much that word and the meaning means to me!! i would love to see more posts like these, feels like we’re gal pals going through our cute stuff! plus it gives me a reason to shop! 🙂 please share more of your favorites!! we love you grrrl!!! ♥
You inspire me Lysa and love your Friday favorites! Maybe something fun and inexpensive to do with family. You know girl the necklace is mine so go ahead and send it to me.
A touch of animal print makes every day fun! 🙂
I would love to see:
A) some fun and inexpensive ideas to do together as a family now that the weather is warming up;
B) some ideas to get your kids involved in giving back to their community; and
C) top 10 things every Christian gal needs.
Love your posts and your books!
Happy Friday Lysa!!! Love the necklace!!! HINT HINT…..lol
I would love to see some ideas that are kid friendly and spiritually educational! I know with my kids it is hard to keep their attention….so I am very interested to see some easy things that have a lot of meaning to them spiritually!
Thank you for everything….love the post!!
Love this. I would like to see a “go to” little dress that is flattering and not too short. I had one years ago and wore it out and they no longer make the style. Also, I have yet to find a bag/tote that works, without being too cumbersome to carry my Bible and study materials in. You always have such wonderful items, I am sure you have suggestions.
BTW, we have a wonderful little tea shop where I live and they serve iced and hot tea. Hot tea is an acquired taste, but is such a comfort at those times I do not want coffee, but want something warm to sip on while I have my quiet time.
Thank you for all that you do. You are a blessing to so many!
Have a blessed day.
What a fun post! I love jewelry — especially jewelry with a “message”. It always sparks conversation. Anything you have for Friday Favorites is fine by me, but I most enjoy “crafty” gift ideas. Thank you!
I’d love to see favorite hairstyles and hair products!
I love the Friday posts….. Good books, ( your’s included) love the shoes but with foot pain, I just can’t wear a flat – But I love them! :o) A good military styled Jacket that will fit a fuller figured girl too…. :o) Thanks!
I’ll leave the subject matter up to you. I enjoy most everything you write. The Friday posts are refreshing. It’s nice to get to know the person behind the devotionals.
I loved your post and love to feel connected with you. Sometimes I feel like you are sitting on my sofa, girlfriend to girlfriend. Your writing always blesses my heart and I thank you for sharing and opening up about so many things and being so real. I can see how God is using you to reach women right in their homes and I just wanted to say thank you!
I would like to see favorite lower fat, lower calorie, quick food ideas. Like either things you make or buy or even at a fast food type place. Something good for ya, filling, and taste good. is there such a thing?
Lysa, you are too cute!! I’m not usually much of a shopper, but this makes me want to go shopping for cute flats .. or earrings 🙂 I saw some other comments, too … would love fun ideas to plan a day with my family, too. And more shopping ideas are welcome, think I might like this after all …
I’m lovin’ your Friday Favorites! Especially all those Target fashion finds! Perhaps you could also include your favorite place to eat out, or a vacation spot or day-trip location, or a design idea for your house or an organizational tip. The possibilities are endless really. Thanks for giving us a peek inside your favorites!
Lysa- loved your cute items today, esp the necklace! I’d like to see more of your bargin finds (like the Target shoes) that are cute and can help me become more trendy. Blessings <
Hey Lysa! I love, love, love your Friday favorites and the way you make it FUN and lighthearted. Through all our daily stresses it’s sure nice to have this warm and huggy feel added to our day. Thank you for being such an inspiration and for opening up on so many topics that women don’t want to discuss or admit that they were “thinking” it too. I love the Redeemed necklace and I would love to wear it as a message to others. Love you and keep doing what you’re doing.
I don’t know what to say, except that I feel all cheery on the inside, just what I needed. No super great ideas except maybe to share some great, cheap, family activities as we look forward to warmer weather!!
Wow super cute! Love the necklace and shoes. Thank you for giving me something fun to think about during a long week. Will you please pray for my son?
I actually enjoy it when you share in a personal way. It makes me feel like I am getting to know you…..as just a normal person! Sometimes woman like you can be viewed as such spiritual giants, so when you post about stuff that moves you, like animal print shoes or dangly earrings, well it just sorta makes me able to relate more to you as a real person. Thanks for just being you Lysa!
I like your encouragement to get thru what daily problems we have. It’s nice to see that we all have similar trials.
I just mailed my check to see you in Ash Flat Ar. I am so excited.
Love your Friday favorites posts and the necklace! I think sharing your favorite products is helpful (cosmetic, cleaning, organizing, etc.). I am much more likely to buy something if someone else loves it. Keep doing what you are doing! We love it!
I love this for today. I am in Minneapolis/ Saint Paul going to the conference and you will be speaking this afternoon and that’s exactly how I felt getting ready for today. I am so excited for this afternoon and for this whole conference day I can’t wait to see if you’re wearing the necklace. I am with you on the TV drinking it is a cozy thought bad we all what some comfort of some kind thank you for this message.
I love Friday favorites it is so fun. I would love to see what kind of makeup you use, your favorites go to lipstick etc. Thanks for the giveaway!
I think your Friday posts are great – enjoy the “girl talk” about different items we all enjoy or dream of enjoying (the purse does look fun!)….so keep talking cause I’m sitting here with you :).
Love Friday Favorites! In the future, it might be fun to see a favorite photo from your phone and a quick story of why it was your favorite pic you took that week. I do the same on my blog and it’s always interesting to see what highlights my week!
Actually, this was one of my favorite Friday posts, so perhaps more like these.
Other ideas: Favorite Recipes, Favorite relaxing pastimes, favorite devotional books, favorite scriptures, ideas for how to better memorize God’s Word.
I would love to see what hair products and makeup items are your favs!! Great post. Love it everyday 🙂
I’d love to see your favorite book or books and your favorite lotion!
I’d love to hear about your favorite quick family meals!! That’s what seems to trip up a lot of moms.
I don’t care what you write about , I just like reading your stuff!! Your heart speaks to mine. I do like your new Friday fun things tho. We’re expecting two new babies in our family in the next two months so if you wanted to find some fun things for Grandma’s or their grandbabies, I’d enjoy that too! Oh, by the way, Pepsi is my drink of choice. I get all those horror emails too :>)
Loving the favorites! I’d love for you to take a week to view the world through extra clean lenses of faith and let us know what your favorite glimpses of God are. Seeing God’s hand move in my life and in the lives of those around me is one of my all time favorite things. I’d love to read about your week and see the way God’s hand moves around you. Thank you for all that you do. God is changing lives through you and just you being you has inspired me to be me. Thank you for that!
Spring-y Spring Stuff!!! Yahoo, its one day closer to warmth!
Love your Friday posts…light-hearted and you always make me smile 🙂 How about fun, affordable vaction spots??
Thanks for the Friday favorites Lysa! I have to tell you that I own those exact leopard flats from Target and I am wearing them today and fully support wearing them for Spring/Summer 🙂
I think it would be fun to read about favorite ways to keep connected to girlfriends. I’m finding it hard to keep my connections with my women friends as I navigate the daily morning routine-work-home-kids-spouse-homework-housework-meals, etc. journey.
Being a Friday favorite newbie…yup, my first Friday is today, I haven’t a clue what to suggest except to keep being you Lysa. Your love for the Lord shines in all you do…I agree with Lisa B…it’s like getting to know you in a personal way.
Love your Friday posts!! Love the necklace too! Thanks for all you do for us. We love you!
Lysa, love all your posts and the way you share your insight and perspective on life and the one who gives us the abundant life – Jesus Christ. I would love to read your ideas on different women’s ministry events targeted to bring the women of the local church together. We have a spring and fall getaway each year with a casual meal and speaker and a “fun” special feature included (accessorizing for spring, etc.) We also have a Festival of Tables where the ladies are in charge of decorating their table and inviting other ladies to be seated at their table. This event also involves dinner and a speaker and fun feature. Just wondered what other ideas you have for bringing all ages of women together for fellowship in their church. Thank you!!! You are a Blessing!!!
Love the lightness of today’s blog. Just right for starting the weekend!
Love the Friday Favorites! 🙂
I think it would be fun to do one on favorite sandals for summer and fun polish for your piggies. Love to know what sandals you like 🙂
I’d be interested in hearing your favorite “kidisms” (funny things kids say). I have one funny 6-year-old boy! His Ianisms always make my day better. (BTW, I love your blog!)
I am so enjoying the fun of Fridays on your site. I feel inspired by what you find fun! I am 51 next week and have never felt more alive…I know its because I am really now choosing to focus on our Lord and his word. Lysa I am so blessed to have been led to open your emails and look daily at your sight which brings women, our Lord and fun all together he is smiling on us all as we interact with one another. Thank you.
Absolutely love this necklace!! Could be used to witness without saying a word!!
Oh, Lysa….anything you talk about is good! But maybe you could talk about your favorite girlfriend things to do, best low cost gifts for: weddings, kids, family, friends; ideas on how to not overcommit/over extend yourself when so many things look good, and favorite little shops or hidden treasures that you’ve stumbled across in your many adventures!
So fun on Friday with you Lysa ! I love the necklace what a great conversation starter! where yo where you find you’re c you’re cute clothes.
Fun article today. Can’t wait till target opens in Winnipeg. How about some scrapbooking ideas?
I love these Friday posts. They are fun and inspiring. I’d love to see quick fun day trip ideas for the spring/summer. Also some fun things to do with the kiddos. I have a 10 year old granddaughter that my husband and I have adopted and are raising. It’s not as easy for me to think of fun ideas that she’d enjoy as it was with my two daughters. Thanks for the give-away. I’d love info to be able to order one in the event I do not win this one. Thanks for all you do. I enjoy every post you have made.
Love this! I am a product gal! And you look great! What’s your fav skin care product??? Please share!
Lysa, I feel like we have become good friends through your writing. Even though you’ve never met me, you know me! 😀 Thanks for honestly sharing your heart. Have a wonderful weekend. Thanks!
I started to think of all the “favorites” you could list…. from perfumes to candle/air freshener scents to sportscar varieties….. but then I realized that you do such a great job choosing what to share that you don’t really need my help at all.
I love your Friday favorites. They make you so relatable…. but again, you already have seemed relatable without the Friday favorites, so again, they aren’t really needed…. just FUN!
So thanks for the FUN! 🙂
Hi Lysa, this is my First Fun Friday with you! I Enjoy your candid honesty. A playful delighted personality comes thru your writing. I would currently enjoy a topic on: The FUN of God. (the Good, Happy, Playful things about HIm) So Many, unfortunatley, misrepresent the Lord and because of your genuineness I Know it would be a Great theme. Thank you <3
This made me smile!
I love everything you post, just about what’s on your mind! As a novice writer, I appreciate anything on writing, blogging, how to get your name out there, anything!
P.S. What drew me to your blog and your writing was your (writing) voice. Love it. 🙂
Would love to see your favotite ways to spend time with your friends and maybe even your kids and husband. Happy weekend!
be still my ♥
i do love the Madewell site now 🙂
Love your blog! I’m new to it, but not to Proverbs 31 Ministries. I would love to know what you read for fun!
Hmm…what would I like to see covered on Friday Favorites…where do I begin?
I love (such an understatement) film, so I think it’d be a delight for you to share a few of your favorite films and why with us!
Of course, I’m certain we’re all waiting to Friday Favorites: Literary Edition. What’s a Lysa TerKeurst post without a nod to fellow great writers?
Oooh and I think it’d be quite the treat to learn some of your favorite treats as well (we already know you love the soda). 🙂
That necklace is calling my name, can’t you hear?
This is a fun post. I would like to learn more about the necklace company (and am going to go look for more info). More on inexpensive ways to look cute would be fun. Just some simple things.
I love your Friday post….next week your favorit hats? Hats will cover up conditioner residual. I love to hear about other people’s funny disasters….I always have a story.
Like the time I was on the way from the airport, my (fireman) husband caught the grill on fire called me to pick up dinner…stopped at the grocery deli got the last chicken they had, got to the check out and they placed it the bag of the lady in front of me and I couldn’t catch her!
I have been swooning over this necklace for sometime so what a sweet little giveaway!
I would like to see maybe your favorite recipes , can never have too many recipes!
I love the Friday posts about things you like that are even quite fashionable. After almost 8 years of marriage, four children, two military deployments. I have no clue about fashion or what I like, what looks good on me, what’s appropriate to wear and what’s not! So I find your Friday fun post great for a small town mommy of 4 gal like me!
I love the “wonderfully made” necklace. I am always telling my children they are fearfully and wonderfully made. What a great reminder all day long. I would love to see some of your favorite books (including fiction). I have read 3 of your books and have loved all of them.
I would love to see where you get some of your cute clothes!! I also would love to hear about good books or Bible studies you’ve recently read or done.
Friday’s are fun! All week we work on the heart stuff. It is nice to lighten up.
One of my favorite this is…
I love Nivea products! Especially their lip care. It has SPF 10. My favorite is A Kiss of Shimmer!
I hope you all have a blessed day!! Thanks for everything you do!
I just love relating with you by reading your posts. We all love to have our touches of personalization. I would love to display that I am redeemed. Thank you for your honesty and just relating. It helps me feel connected with you. We all need our girlfriends to just be able to relate.
Maybe favorite verses and/or quotes? Love reading your posts!
I love your posts and your style! I love seeing all of the cool things out there that I would not otherwise have seen.
Love Friday Favorites whatever you choose and is on your mind including Cokes!
I love reading your stuff… you make me smile out loud!
You have wonderful taste and such a great sense of humor, I think you should raffle off a luncheon date with you and a lucky recipient!
I love the Friday favorites theme!
I love that notebook! I am a sucker for pretty writing paper. I would love to see some of your other favorite bloggers listed in a Fiday favorite. Ad yes, I would love that necklace!
I love your Friday Favorites! I love seeing fashion, with reasonable prices. I would love to hear about family’s meal time and extracurricular activities…out of the box ideas, too!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Heading for Target right now!!! Love all the Friday favorites. Work and live with ALL men (who I truly love), but I adore girl talk. Thanks sweet sister!
I love reading your blog posts…period! You make everything sound funny or fun, even when it’s not! 😉
Thank you for being you!! Open and honest!
I would love to know your favorite way to spend a weekend or a day off!
LOVE that necklace!! Would like to see your favorite nail polish, lipsticks, hair products that kind of thing.
I’d love to be your twin 🙂
I can relate to so much of what you say. it is awesome and always gives me encouragment.
i love the Friday Favorites…..what do you have for date night with your hubby.
i could use a good friday idea 🙂
that would be good to see next Friday… especially with warmer weather coming….anyway i hope it is coming soon!!!
Thank you for keeping it real! You are always such a blessing with whatever subject you discuss. Its always so nice to hear that not everyone’s world is perfect and you have a way of bringing a smile to those moments that we all can share in. God Bless you!
Fashion or make-up/beauty products? And Bible study tools are good too. And meaningful inexpensive gifts for people we love. I have trouble thinking of unique gifts.
I’d like to hear about some good ideas for night family devotions that will make the kids all sit still and listen and really connect with God.
I love your posts! You are so real! I know you run and work out, would love to hear more about your adventures in that!
I love this necklace!!! I hope that I win! I would love to see you feature some cute hair accessories.
I’d love to hear about keeping a workout schedule when traveling- my downfall! Thanks for a cute post 🙂
P.S. thanks too for the encouragement about: life is Too short to entrust your profound ideas to backs of receipts…a Habit i am breaking by (almost) constantly carrying a tablet around- although I aspire to a ‘pretty’ one.. haa. =))
How about favorite organizational items or books?
I love the simple things. I would love to know about your fav hair products, make up & skin care. Your beautiful – share your secrets 🙂
I would love to see things that help organize your life/schedule. 🙂
Love the Friday Favorites! Maybe include your favorite cosmetics, bargin and splurges.

I enjoy reading your articles. Just started reading them. Thanks for sharing!
I love your Friday Favorites (and especially love your Unglued Book which I am now reading and feel like you have a camera in my home, lol!)
I would love to see some modest inexpensive clothing on your future Friday Favorites. It is so hard to find modest clothing in my budget. You can find a high neck dress but it is above the knees or a long dress and it has a plunging neck line. For me buying clothes that please the Lord is very frustrating. Thank you!
Favorite charities! Always interested in new places to donate toward and partner with the share the good news. Umm, mm yummy gods news.
Thanks for your humor and honesty. Love knowing that I’m not the only one who does things like leave conditioner in my hair…oops!

I had no idea that you were on Pinterest like me! It’s so cool to see that you like a lot of the same pieces of fashion as I do. I LOVE fashion, style, and just the hunt of finding beautifully created things! Thanks for your amazing ministry.

Hmmmm. I am not very creative with these things, but tools for the busy woman? I love today’s, even if I am skiddish about jewelry since I have little boys. 🙂
Your Friday Favorite….well, it made my day. I am a young mother of four and this week I was diagnosed with RA and will be starting treatment tomorrow morning….the necklace is a good reminder that I am wonderfully made by God despite this disease. Thank you.
I love things that represent who I am in Christ. I love wearing shirts with scripture.. Jewelry with crosses or encouraging words… Etc. I would love to add that necklace to my collection. For Friday Favorites I would like to hear more about Christian themed gift ideas like your personalized scripture box. It’s not just a gift but also words of encouragement. :o)
Hi Lysa. I’m not really sure what “I’d really love to see”, but I just wanted to tell you “thank you” for your blogs and for the real, down-to-earth, fun-lovin’ gal you are. You make me smile every time I read your “encouragement for today”. So, thank you, thank you!
I think it would be fun to see your favorite books. Maybe you’ve already done this. Thanks for the giveaway!
I’d like to see something with pictures of favorite getaway places, especially if they are inexpensive getaway places!!! I like the idea of favorite recipes and clothes for all body types. I think favorite hobbies would be a good idea also.
How about a restaurant gift certificate at a chain (so that everyone can win) and a couple of movie tickets to a generally owned theater for a great date night with those wonderful men of ours! 🙂
I would love hat necklace! I would also love to see on your “Friday Favorites” your list of favorite non profits who are out there on the front line combating some of today’s biggest issues and global challenges! A list of a few causes that you’re passionate about and want to introduce to us 🙂
Fun – down-to-earth finds – one’s that are budget friendly and make your heart smile – our hearts all could use a LOT MORE SMILES :). Pictures of Dad’s paintbrush at work too 🙂 He paints the most beautiful of beautiful things 🙂
I love the Friday favorites. Can’t think of what I would like to see covered. I think you are doing a good job.
I love the post today. I would love to see you continue posting about your favorites. This could be just about anything.
And, the necklace, love it!!
I love Friday Favorites! Thank you for sharing that cute necklace. I went on the website and found that my girlfriends favorite verse (Psalm 139:14) is available on one of the necklaces. Birthday gift for friend? CHECK! 🙂
I can see how coming up with favorites each week might become a chore. Maybe broaden categories? Travel, Home, Food, Girlfriend Getaways, Bible Verses..??? Perhaps, if you throw a category out to your “girlfriends” on your email list…you might acquire some helpful ideas?
Love the Friday Favorites! I think of myself as creatively challenged, so the fun ideas and beautiful inspiration is just what I need. I would love if you could share some of your favorite Christian music. Would love to download some great music onto my children’s iPods and could use some direction. Thanks again Lysa! Oh, and I would love this necklace. Just listened to Redeemed by Big Daddy Weave and have to say its my new favorite song!
I love the Friday Favorites! Love it that you write/speak from your experience and perspective. Love to hear your family stories and when you are “real” and leave conditioner in your hair! That confession made me laugh out loud 😉

I love this! How about a fun summer hat?
I love the Friday favorites. I’d also love to know ou favorite make up. 🙂
I am not a girl who has many friends or maybe I just feel like I have no bonus time to spend cultivating friendships…at least beyond the small, intimate circle I have established but I thoroughly enjoy our Friday postings. Even though it warrants no response from me, I am getting to know someone new and that puts a smile on my face after a long week with a short reprieve in sight! Blessings to you and I look forward to next week’s end!
I would love to know what your favorite worship CD is right now. Once I found one, I listen to it over, and over, and over, and over again…so I need something new. I’m boring my passengers. 😉
Oh how we all love fridays!! Especially when spring has arrived and the sun is shining. We spend our time wishing away our week for the friday to arrive. We usually have big plans for the weekend or maybe not we are just exicted for what …..maybe a little rest and relaxation? Not at my house. It would be awesome to talk about what we really do on those fridays and the weekends ahead that we are so excited about. I think we would all find humor in how much time we waste wishing Friday would arrive and how little we accomphish once it does and why it is we are so so happy on Fridays!!
I love all your favs today! How ’bout your favorite organizing products/tips!?!
Lysa, love your Friday favorites. Anything fun like today’s blog. Fun things you like to do with your girlfriends; favorite makeup; favorite shops; favorite perfumes, clothes; funny things that happen to you; things that make you laugh. Favorite books you have read or are reading. Pet peeves (should you go there 🙂
Love the necklace and I’m mentoring a new Christian of five months and would be so happy to surprise her with such a cute gift.
I love your picks! I would love to see some Home Decor! I love candlesticks, trays, candles, flowers, books, baskets! Stuff that makes a house “homey”!
I love seeing what other women like. It’s a blessing to have new ideas shared and great deals shared. Thank you for posting your choices and for giving us your personal input.
Love the necklace and the great meaning behind it. They did a great job in their creation.
Love your Friday Favorites today! I think I’ll have to stop by our Target to see if they have the shoes. The necklace is beautiful. I am actually wearing one of my favorites today – a new necklace from Blessings Unlimited!
How about some fun finds for the home? Love the Target finds, you just can’t go wrong with Target!
Hi Lysa, love your blog, books, & your direct honesty! Friday Favorites is great & I’d love for you to talk about ways to get our weekend chores done while still enjoying our “down” time off work. Seems like I spend half the weekend cleaning, doing laundry, etc. & then haven’t done anything fun. Hmmmm? Ideas for more balance would be nice. Thanks for all you do!
Cute stuff – not sure that I would wear animal print of anything but surely there are other cute flats to go with the outfit.
Adorable! You should post some cute aprons! I love aprons! I enjoy looking up all of the cute ideas, then mashing all of the best parts of them together and making my own! 🙂
Love your Friday Favorites! I am Lisa, also ;with a different spelling, Lesia! I really like yours much better : ) Just finished Unglued! love! Fashion, beauty, decorating tips and food ideas are great and really like the bargin buys!
How about every month a different theme for Friday Favorite. Recipes, jewelery, bake/cookware, the list could go on and on!! Either way keep it going, I look forward to Fridays!!!
Maybe some of your favorite non-fiction Christian books-I love to read them! Love your articles and posts~
Love this post! Would love to hear about your favorite ways to celebrate your children’s birthdays or your/your children’s favorite books (from when they were little or their favorites now)!
Love your favorite things. I can’t believe I have not heard of theses amazing jewel eras, thanks so much for sharing.
Your favorite healthy foods.
I love that you are real with us…like leaving the conditioner in your hair….i have done that before lol not good…..:) It helps us feel very personal and lets us know how human we all are.
This is the first time I’ve seen your Friday Favorites — how fun! I love the pictures you posted, especially the necklace and earrings. I’m an awkward hugger too, and maybe those earrings would work for me too! And I love pink. As for ideas in what to see in future Friday Favorites, how about affordable luxuries (make up items, candles, etc.), economical gifts (particularly with Mother’s Day coming up) and books. Have a blessed Friday.
I would like to see some favorite places to vacation with kids or a spouse, favorite recipes, favorite things to do inside when it rains, favorite pajamas, favorite apps for iphone or notebook and favorite haircuts!!! Thanks for helping us see Jesus more clearly and see life more enjoyably!!!
Lysa…you inspire me. I saw you speak at my church and you were amazing. I love your daily posts on Facebook …they help me remember what’s important and help me get through my day. thank you thank you!
I’m always looking for easy, quick and healthy chicken recipes…
I, like many of the women above, really enjoy everything you share. Your words have been very helpful to me since being introduced to you through Proverbs31.org. I think your conglomeration of different items is such a cute idea! I love the stories behind why you chose those things. What I would be interested in seeing would be your places where you find additional inspiration. Such as your favorite books, authors, websites. Any place you know where to go when you need that extra little pick-me-up.
Just keep on sharing what’s in your heart…your posts help me smile even when I’m feeling down!
I love that necklace! Thanks for the chance to win it!
Thanks for all you do!
I love the necklace and the handbag! I would like to see something about home decorating. Thanks!!
Happy Friday Lisa!
Your blog is great and the opportunity for a give-a-way is great. One of my best friends (who moved away) called today and during our discussion mentioned your name, letting me know that she recently participated in the UNGLUED Bible study in her church in Georgia. She then suggested that I get this book as it related to many of the things we were talking about as we caught up on our lives.
I’d love to hear more about confirming God’s call on our lives and steps to take to move forward in that call. How do you know when that “nudge” inside you is really a call?
The Redeemed necklace is beautiful with a wonderful message. It’s the first time in awhile that I’ve liked something other than Brighton!
Well, I am gonna take a shot at this…..first of all, you write some of THE most encouraging and uplifting things EVER!! I love looking at my FB just to see what you have to say 🙂 I think it would be great to know your fav workout, devotions you do with your kids, and your fav kind of music or fav singer. The necklace is beautiful and reminds me too of the song, ” I am redeemed” Thank God Redeemed 😉
I’d love a Friday Favorites about your favorite “travel tips”. I often travel on combo work/personal trips….and find it hard to pack lightly. I almost have to pack 2 wardrobes for professional events during the day and touristy/fun things at night. Would love your tricks on consolidating!
I absolutely love quotes! I’m constantly writing down what people say, especially my kids. A fun idea for another Friday? Write down funny/profound/thoughtful/confusing/whatever quotes from people in your life throughout the week, and share! A bonus for you: it really helps you to develop the listening skill when you’re searching for treasure in what other people have to say. I have loved how it’s grown me.
Favorite uplifting books, fiction or non, that you are reading that month and updates in them?? Or just ones you want to read! And more coral and mint colors!!!! Ahhh- spring :). Happy Friday!!
Well I do love your Friday favorites also I think you and I have similar tastes. I own those leopard flats already but do love me some animal prints. The Friday favorite segment I don’t know really know thinking any encouragement is good. Maybe a real event from your week that God used.
Anything! But especially your favorite parenting tips!
Oh, so many options! There are so many things that could be listed under Friday Favorites- hobbies, date night, family vacations, books, time with girlfriends. But I just can’t decide! (I even walked away from my computer and came back hoping that would narrow it down.)
Instead I realized that whatever you post Lysa would be funny, encouraging, and/or inspiring. God has given you such a gift and I am so glad that you choose to share it with us! I pray that God will use me in my brokenness and imperfect progress to inspire and encourage those around me. Thank you!
Hi Lysa! I love the Friday favorites segment, so creative! I would love to see books given away, accessories (I mean what girl don’t love those?!), and maybe even tickets to Women of Faith conferences! I hope the ideas help! Have a fantabulous Friday! 🙂
How about family friendly recipes. My kids are so picky. You ask my daughter what she wants to eat and she will say cake. Um, baby girl, in the future you will regret cake all day 😉
I love this! So super fun. I am also getting “Fabulous after Forty” in my inbox. They’ve got similar great fashion ideas on looking fresh, hip and stylish without being silly. They should feature your style! 🙂 Keep up the light, fun posts. Life is sweet and it’s good to be joyful.
I love the fashion ideas and I like how you post things that are affordable. I would also like to see recipes and how you stretch the dollar feeding your large family. Do you and Art get away to B&B’s that would be fun to see some reviews, if not….what is holding you back….or another idea would be fun date night ideas? I could go on and on…..I would be honored to be your twin!!!
Love Friday favorites & girl talk!! Really enjoy all of your posts and of course accessories, hairstyles, activities, adventures, relationships, & trips. 🙂
The necklace is cute cute! I just love hearing your personal favorite things or your stories…just lets us all know that you are real and like many of us girls 🙂 Happy Friday!
Hi Lysa-I’m really enjoying your blog. I’d love to know what music you’re listening to, perhaps a fave Christian song and how God speaks to you through music. Also, I’d love to check out some fave family recipes as I’m always on the lookout for new recipes. Thanks for all you do-blogs like yours are just one of the ways I keep my mind and heart focused on God!
Love your Friday Favorites. It’s nice to see a person in your position share the same issues we all have. You give “country chic” in a whole new meaning. I would love to live in a small town. Thanks for being real!!
Your Friday Favorites is my new favorite! I’d love to see a gardening theme. Please know that I am not a gardener (my house seems to be where plants go to die), but I keep thinking that if I could find really fun tools and gloves and pots, I would become the most amazing gardener ever! Or, at least dream…
I love the random-ness of Friday Favorites. I like how there is something that appeals to everyone. I like seeing jewelry that does not cost the moon and the stars, and writing paraphernalia, all sorts of girl stuff that makes me feel good. So as you can see, I’m liking it just as it is – more random nuggets of goodness that are well within my reach.
Elizabeth Rising Early, 31 Days
Love the Friday posts! for some ideas – books, inexpensive gift ideas, gardening, etc. a variety, which you have already captured.
I’d like to see Christian inspired items for the home.
Personally, I have no preference on what you share with us…
I just thoroughly enjoy your transparency and ‘realness’ (is that a word?! lol) with us!!
You make me smile and you’re an encouragement to me. And I am very thankful for that!!
I like the suggestions of reading material and gift ideas!
I always love your posts. They are always thought-provoking and sometimes step on my toes (in a good way). I love the Friday posts. It’s nice to take a few moments just to relax. It’s encouraging to know that it’s important just to do something or have something because you like it (like your notebook). I have a set of utility knives with black handles and zebra print blades. Somehow they make slicing veggies a lot more fun!
I like to see creative, expensive date night ideas.
what a blessing your are! Be blessed and be a blessing!!!!!!
I would love to see posts about perfumes!!! I have such a hard time figuring out what scents are good for my age group, seasons of the year, activity/function attending, etc.
I would love to see more accessories, perhaps make-up favorites like eye shadow or lipstick, vacation destinations, etc.
Hey Lysa, I absolutely LOVE your posts! They are always so encouraging and for some reason, I can just relate to you! I love getting to hear/see you at the EWomen Conferences in Roanoke, Va and I really enjoyed hearing you speak at our church (Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg Va) earlier this year. I get a kick out of hearing you talk about your hair and not “honking at your mama!”. You are just too cute and I absolutely adore how you share your heart for God with all of us. Proverbs 31 Ministries has been such a blessing to me and MANY of my friends! What a Godly example you ladies are to the rest of us! I love the necklace giveaway that you mention … what a sweet and thoughtful thing to do and one more way to shine your light for Jesus Christ! God bless you always!
Hi, Lisa! I love your Friday favorites. Inspires me to make a Target run! haha! I would love to see some makeup or skin care faves. I am always searching (or making my own) creams and moisturizers. I like to hear what others have to say about what they do. I had this conversation with some friends a few weeks ago and some said they used a tiny bit of hemorrhoid cream under their eyes each day. I was grossed out a little but they had been doing it for years to reduce puffiness. So…I may have to try it to see how it works for me. 🙂 Happy Friday!
Just started reading your blog and love Friday favorites! For Easter our church did cardboard testimonies and mine was on forgiveness….was abused as a child and so thankful that I’ve been redeemed by our Lord and savior….thank God….redeemed. If I won this necklace, I would give it to a friend who is really struggling right now.
Hey Lisa- I love the Friday favorites! I think you’re right on track! Its always nice to see some “new stuff” and get ideas on how to update your look! Have a great weekend! 🙂
Hi Lysa! How about favourite entertainment- movie, TV show, music. 🙂
how about, especially at this time of year, fun and practical ways to look at ourselves and be content on who we are no matter our shape or size…
I would like to see you post a copy of your fave book!! You know maybe something for moms…you are such an inspiration and so easy to relate to!!! Thanks….love the necklace it’s absolutely fabulous!!
Love your Friday Favorites!! I especially love hearing about bargain priced accessories, makeup and jewelry. Thanks for the giveaway!!

Favorite date night ideas!
Favorite activities to do for the weekend, favorite recipies to try, favorite encouraging word/scripture. . .

Since we are already name twins, let us be necklace twins as well! I like the idea of DIY or inexpensive gift ideas for Friday Favorites.
I love & appreciate all your Friday favorites!
Hi! Wow I like all of those items! I just found a great, adorable, not so expensive purse company where you design your own bag. I am so excited I signed up to sell them day before yesterday. You should take a look at. annashura.GraceAdele.ca. Where did you get your robins egg blue notebook? That has to be one of my favorite colors. My sister used to buy me little things with that color or robin eggs on them in the spring for my birthday. It always makes me feel hopeful. Have an awesome day! And yes I did rinse the conditioner out this morning. LOL!
Favorite fiction… I’m always looking for a great read!
I really enjoy your Friday Favorites – it brightens my day and gives me a positive start to the weekend. I would love to hear what you are reading for fun. As much as I enjoy the OBS from Melissa, non-fiction is lots of fun too!
I would love to se the latest fashions that are at. Reasonable price & inexpensive family activities.
Favorite chocolate foods/drinks (I was at a chocolate festival last weekend!). Ditto to the post on favorite Christian fiction.
Love your posts – they bring a bit of happiness to the workday.
I love the Friday Favorites! I enjoy seeing what you like and your recommendations.
I just love hearing what God has placed on your heart. I am in a book club and would love some ideas of “good” books to read so we can also share Jesus. Love your sweet heart and appreciate you giving a necklace so some sweet lady. Blessings to you and to her!!! May it be a conversation starter for her to share Jesus…
Loooove it all!! I’d say keep on, keeping on putting stuff just like this stuff!!! Love and NEED that necklace!! Hugs from MO!!
Love the necklace! Idea for favorite Fridays? More personal hygiene items – can always use more tips on makeup, etc.
I love your Friday segments. I would like to see things like Bible covers, inexpensive trinkets and whatever God leads you to share. Thanks for Always being a Blessing to me!
This is only my second friday favorites but I love it. It make me feel like we have been friends for a long time and we are just sharing with each other our new finds. As for the necklace what is a bette reminder to our selves and hope to give others that we have been redeemed. I love to read, so always looking for a new book recommendation. Looking forward to next week’s Friday Favorites.
I like the idea of a friday favorite where you share your favorite authors/books. Or one with your favorite music artist/bands. That would be so interesting to me love the Friday favorites
Books! Fiction and non
Favorite books or recipes would be great! Also love the idea of inexpensive gift ideas (ex: 5 gifts under $15 or $10).

Recipes!! I could always use some new ones! 😉
You are one of my favorite girls that just says how it is with an inspirational twist. A possible Friday Favorite could be something to do with the family or a cute dinner to make for everyone.
I’m just starting your bible study Made To Crave~ with a bunch of fabulous ladies 🙂 how about adding some recipes in your mix for Friday Favorites.
I love reading your blog! How about favorite recipes for Friday favorites?
What a fun and cheery post this is today! But all your posts are like that — they always make me smile and think, too. Hard to know what would be perfect for a Friday Favorite….lots of good ideas above from healthy recipes to good Christian books (Francine Rivers is a favorite of mine!). And I loved the earring outfit idea….I can just picture how cute that outfit would be even though simple, it would like great! Here in MN we are awaiting the ever-so-slow-spring to arrive. Soon, we hope!!
This is the first time I’ve read the Friday Favorites – what fun! For a future FF post, I’d like to see anything cowgirl related 🙂 Blessings!
How about including shortcuts to cleaning your house, ways to boost your child’s self-esteem, how to make morning routines easier, or just being fun which you always have good ideas for! I’d love to win the jewelry!
Loving the Friday favorites girl! Keep going! Would be interested to see some recommended Christian books, makeup, hair products, jewelry, little to no cost fun things to do for the weekend with the family…Love the down to earth feel to your Friday favorites! xoxo
I would love to see:
Bible study tips
More clothing and accessories (like what you shared today) and where to buy them.
I love that necklace, and you can never have too many gorgeous, sumptuous, soft LEATHER purses! I bought myself a scrumptous mint green for Easter, I rationalized it was OK because my dress and shoes and stockings, and jewelry, etc. were all old:)
A Friday Favorites DIY post would be really neat!
This is a first for me, but I’m super excited!! Love all the personal touches you put in, it lets us know we are normal!! 🙂 Your not alone with the hugging, I’m right there with you!! Keep up the great work…you are ALWAYS fun!!
I love this idea! This is my first time seeing your Friday favorites. I really enjoy reading your posts and have loved reading your books. My Bible Study group just finished “Unglued” and really enjoyed it! Oh how we can relate to so much of your unglued moments as we have had so many of our own. Thank you for being real with us and sharing your life with us. I would love to see favorite music, snack, recipe, or your must have favorite accessory for the week. Another idea is favorite family moment of the week or activity. Thanks for sharing with us.
Love the idea of Friday favorites! I’d enjoy seeing furniture funds, best books and things that are relaxing. Today’s fashion favs was great!!I totally agree with you about animal print–just a touch of it is cute. I saw the same shoes at Target and had to have them! I think leopard print shoes are fantastic year round! And the necklace— gorgeous!!!!!
Crafts would be great. But I really enjoy when you share what’s on your heart.
What are you favorite gifts to give? Birthday? Baby? Wedding?
Love what your doing anyway! It’s awesome.
I like the necklace. Maybe more scripture cards. thank you. Have a good day .
Lysa: thank you for sharing your finds and showing us you are “real” I life the necklace! J start a new job on Monday and it would be a great way to share my faith as I meet my staff 🙂 I would love to see you share some of the favorite things you do with your family – traditions, recipes, bible studies or family devotional times – I have two boys andirons is hard to find bible studies that work for the boys – thanks in advance – Suzanne bowser
First of all…AHHH!! I LOVE the “Cuteness” idea from todays post. I think fashion finds would make a great blog EVERY friday. Also, you might include what trends are most popular. Creative decorating ideas for the home would also be fantastic!!
Someone else mentioned recipes, and I’m always looking for those too… They don’t even have to be things you’ve tried — just things that sound good to you! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration 🙂
This is my first Friday Favorites, but I have been reading the Proverbs 31 devos & your books for awhile now. Anyways, I LOVED it! Btw, the delight of the fizz calls me too and drives my “healthy” friends crazy! 🙂 I’m not sure if you’ve covered these themes before, but how about thrill or relaxation?
Love these! I think the book is a great idea…or what about modest swimwear for all sizes?? (And for people on a budget)!
For Fridays, it would be fun to talk about bargains in clothes or jewelry or gifts, or cool ideas like shopping your own closet, etc…to become better stewards of what God has entrusted to us! Thanks for all you do for us, Lysa, may you have a fantastice weekend!
Thank you for sharing a few of your favorite things! I would love to see you share some of your favorite purses, color, and things to do with the family! Thanks!
I love your Friday Favorites posts! Books would be great (fiction or non-fiction), recipes (quick and easy stuff would be awesome!), fun things to do with kids on rainy days (we’ve had 2 of those in a row and I’m out of ideas!). Thanks for everything you do – I am always inspired & uplifted by your posts!
Love the fashion ideas. I look forward to the friday faves!
Favorites ways to relax, unwind, “treat” yourself, that are non-food related. 🙂
Would love to see “theme” Fridays, like favorite books or recipes or kid items! And of course, would love to have more jewelry giveaways 😉
What are you favorite jeans?
I would love for you to share your favorite Bible Study tools, books and authors! You’d certainly be on my list!
Lysa; First, I must say I have missed you! I used to read your posts daily and commented most days. But, fell off the wagon. 🙁 Second, I would say I would love to see sugar free recipes that are still yummy. Lastly, I hope you pick me because tomorrow is my 40th birthday and that necklace would make my birthday EXTRA special!! With all God’s glorious love, Julie
I would like to see something like “Thank God it’s Friday!” Lots of women suffer with mild depression and I would like to hear what your favorite uplifting and encouraging reads, resources, scriptures that would help and benefit those who struggle with this common sadness.
How about a Friday Favorites “Unknown Treasures”? Like a Mom & Pop restaurant in a small town (or big); cute little boutiques (I know of one in Royce City that has the CUTEST shirts and jewelry); craft shows (some high schools will have them in the fall); museums, art shows, car shows, photographers, antique shops (my fave!). You could have people write in for whatever your theme is that day and someone might see something close to them, or close enough for a girls trip 🙂 Just a thought – I LOVE the necklace! Blessings!
Would love to hear ideas on connecting with daughters. My girls are not yet tweens & I want so much for the influence on them to be christ-like. thank you for your devotion & how you have been blessed in expressing what you experience

I like the idea of sharing something u reused when someone else would say trash it. And tips, ideas to share w/our loved ones concerning Mother’s or Father’s day;)
So many awesome ideas in the comments above! I’ve never seen your Friday Favorites before but I like it. 🙂 Maybe something to do with nutrition or bible studies?
I would love to win the necklace. It’s beautiful! I would like to read about good deals on Fridays such as books, styles, etc.
This is my first time seeing Friday Favorites. A nice little reminder of all the little pleasures and joys the things around us are if we take a moment to appreciate them. I would also like to see favorite books, favorite quotes, favorite recipes, favorite songs, and favorite places to visit 🙂
I love your Friday Favorites! I love the idea about a theme each Friday – books, recipes, movies, songs/artists, restaurants, vacation spots – anything!
I like what you’ve been doing. Some clothes, jewelry, makeup, etc. A mixture works for me. I’m really enjoying your Friday faves!
Well, I have not noticed this Friday Favorites before today but I sure am glad I know now! How fun:)
One of my ablsoutely favorite things in the world is coffee. I know I already have my faves but I love to try some new ones; never know might become my new fave.
This was great and look forward to following every Friday! Thank you!!
Love all the items you showed today. It is always nice to get someone else’s perspective on “cuteness”. Would love to see many more ideas.
I think you are doing a good job with the Friday favs!!! But I want the necklace!!! 🙂 please…. 🙂 love all your posts 🙂 TGIF Thank God Im Forgiven!!
Hello Lysa! Last Summer I did your Bible Study “Saying Yes To God” and it changed my heart, spirit & life! I never knew it was also preparing me for a terrible tradgedy about to knock me and my family off our ground but, because of what I had learned from your all consuming faith & trust in God, I brought myself & family to a trust in the love & healing of our Redeemer. You make knowing, loving, trusting & living God/Jesus Blessings fun! Friday Favorites is just perfect! (1st time here) Very relaxing joy <3 Would always like reviews on books, recipes, and fun things we are Blessed with! Thank you Lysa
First let me say I loved your Spring Break photos! Tell you husband what a nice catch he landed! I love your stories about your family; helps me to deal with my teenagers. I think I would love to see favorite family photos! Keep spreading the good word!
I love the Friday Favorites posts. How about creative ideas for lunches? I take my lunch to work every day and I know many students take their lunches to school. Any ideas for something new and exciting?
Thank you for your Favorite Friday’s! How about being it is Spring you could share some gardening plants, containers, heirloom seeds etc. Garden’s of any size are a true work of the heart, but what riches and wonderful lessons from God lie in the soil, all we have to do is listen. A Moment with M.O.M.
More favorite outfits! And favorite quick, healthy snacks (must be healthy).
I would love to hear about bargains or your latest shopping trips. Love to read about your shopping trips for bargains.
I think it would be fun if you did your favorite books. I also like seeing peoples favorite foods and things for around the house. The options are endless really.
P.S. I love the necklace!
I would love to hear about some of your favorite healthy snacks or family friendly recipes!
I would like to see some of your favorite quotes and how they relate to your current day to day life.
Would love to know some of your favorite books and music!
I would like to see some fun ways to connect with a teenage daughter. I need new ideas right now. Maybe I should get us matching necklaces 🙂
How about favorite weekend activities?
I do like what you are doing. I would like to see you put one of your favorite non-fiction books as an item each time. Blesslings to you and I thank the Lord for all you do.
New to your website… and just recently liked your Facebook page. Thanks for little tidbits to help me along in my day. What about best lessons learned from your kids. I’m a new mother of 2… a 2 year old boy and a sweet 4 month old baby girl. Looking forward to all the fun I will experience with them.
It would be fun to have a items that have been “Repurposed.” You know “one mans trash is another treasure”. 🙂
Loved the Friday Favorites! Very fun and “spring-y”! I’d love to see more of your fashion faves and maybe some of your must-have beauty items. I really enjoy hearing your mom heart and getting your insight and tips for being the godly women we are meant to be! Thank you!
Would love to see favorite swimsuits:)
I love hearing you on K-love! And i love your Friday favorites. I’d like to hear some weight loss tips and maybe some good recipes! Thanks so much!
Love the necklace! I would love to see your fav recipes and books. Thank you so much! You have been an inspiration to me personally. I attended a womans event in houston where you were speaking and heard your amazing adoption testimony! The Lord used that to begin working on my heart to adopt. We have since adopted 2 little boys! Thanks for all you do and the heart you have for women! Happy Friday 🙂
I adore the necklace…all of it actually! I would love to see a list of your favorite songs or books. Have a fabulous Friday!
Thank you for sharing your favorites! I love the necklace! I would love to see your favorites in music for a future post. Xoxo

I would love to hear about your favorite places to eat healthy good foods!!! or just in general, your favorite healthy good foods! Made to Crave was an awesome book and i strive each day to crave God, not food!!!
blessings to you this week!
I’d like to see one thing to use/wear/read/etc. for each day of the work week. 🙂
You make me smile. 🙂 Thanks for these Friday finds. You asked for ideas for future finds? I’d love to hear what books you are excited about recently, or what books you found invaluable for your speaking and writing ministries too.
Keep your posts coming. How are your ears today, by the way? I’m still praying for your ears, as God reminds me.
Love what you did with your page today. The necklace looks awesome. What an amazing idea. 🙂 Fashion & food Friday, please.
This is also the first time that I have seen your favorite Friday posts. But now I will look for them. I have a weakness for jewelry, so that is always good. Make-up would be good too, or wonderful lotions and bath products. Have a blessed week-end.
Love the necklace! Actually all of it is super cute. I like the ideas you are already doing. Especially spotlighting Christian companies.
Favorite jeans is a good idea! I’m new Bible shopping and would love some guidance. Book reviews. Love whatever you put. I’m not a big shopper so like your tips!
Friday Favorites – since it’s spring, how about your favorite flowers? DIY outdoor projects?
I would love to see a selection of bathing suits &/or cover ups that don’t “show it all” but don’t look like my grandmother should wearing it! Modesty, with a little sassy. I’m not tall (5 ft on a good day), not uber skinny (size 8/10), and things just aren’t where they used to be after a couple kids and 15yrs of marriage!!! I’m sure a few gals out there can relate!
I agree with others who suggested that you could highlight your favorite books on Fridays. . . as an avid reader myself, I’m always looking for a good book!
Cute post (never tried the conditioner thing – yikes!). Thanks for the grin!
I second the music and books idea, with maybe a music giveaway! Love worshiping in song, and I am Always looking for new music to do it with.
Or maybe some of your favorite bloggers and the passages that meant the most to you.
Love Friday Favorites :0)
I am getting ready to go on the missions field, so maybe it would be nice to hear about trips you have been on or moments that have touched you!!
My top two votes would be favorite books and recipes.
How about favorite ideas for weekend fun with the family? I love all the ideas out here, I look forward to seeing what future posts have to offer!!
By the way Lysa, I just finished the Unglued Devotional today, and I absolutely loved it! Thanks so much for the honesty, humor, and great pointers on how to keep from coming unglued! I’ve definitely seen some imperfect progress over the past 2 months!
I love all things colorful and musical, so I would recommend those for Friday favorites.
Beauty products! And any books (religiously themed or not).
You covered some of my favorites already…since summer’s coming, how about a favorite swimsuit, coverup, or workout, if that exists:). Thanks for all you do and may Gos continue to bless you!
I really like the qoute idea that someone else already mentioned! I LOVED quotes, I have them posted ALL over my office, they help me get through the day! Some are spiritual and some just make you smile. For example, “Having a two year old is like having a blender that you don’t have the top for-Jerry Seinfield.” How true is this!?!? Another idea is a positive or inspirational true story 🙂
I think this is my first time reading Friday favorites. I would love to hear more about cute gifts for in-laws on Mothers’ Day. I am always at a lost and end up with a Hallmark card.
Also I maybe things that help organize our lives.
Love the Redeemed necklace, wish I would have had it to give to the Kindergarten teacher today… tomorrow is her birthday! One thing I think would benefit me (especially my husband) is how to gracefully bow out of an argument… and NOT come Unglued! How to save face, to try and take my blood pressure down a notch, when I want to keep ‘having the last word!’ Can you tell, my sweet husband and I came unglued and made a sticky mess this week? 🙂
I Love the necklace. I think something for Friday is Flowers blooming. Spring is springing here is Arkansas finally. The sun is out for the first time in 2 weeks. So anything to do with the blessings of Spring.
My favorite season. I get to work with the Earth and plant things. Fun fun.
I just mailed my money to see you in Ash Flat Arkansas. I cant wait to meet you. God Bless you and your continued effort of spreading the Grace of God.
hair care so we all can deal with “our situations” 🙂
Anything for a little pampering – we all deserve to be pampered. 🙂
Ok I love that necklace (and I don’t actually ever wear them) so I’m doing this just for the necklace…lol…just kidding! I just signed up for your email list and glad I did..I was laughing reading this post. And that rocked bc today’s morning ended up being one thing after another with the to do list…sheez and I’m suppose to be off today. So really just keep up the awesome stuff you do. I saw that somebody said they love quotes and so do I! Interpreting them…trying to apply them…however long that takes 😉
I would love to see your favorite makeup products so always look so pretty.
You are a girl after my oun heart. Love to see your Friday Fun things! I would love to see some docorating ideas for the home and show us your favorite outfits. thank you so much!!
Had to laugh about the conditioner-several years back, my son’s hair looked greasy & I asked if he washed it when he showered, he said “yes.” Next day, still greasy. I asked him if he was sure he was washing his hair everyday. Again, “yes”. I asked a fw more questions, and come to find out, he was “washing” with conditioner. Doesn’t work very well, even if you do rinse it out! He was a teenager at the time, too!
I enjoy all of your posts-book recommendations are always welcomed, as well as quotes to write in my notebook.
Friday Favorite foods would be good!
Hi, Lysa, This is my first visit. I love the blog as much as I love your FB post. How about a future Friday about favorite mission ideas or groups. Would love to read about what others are doing for God. Have a great Friday!
Sorry, I should have proofread before hitting submit. I meant to say you always look so pretty.
Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles and MORE Bubbles. I love a good Bubble Bath….. What’s your favorite Bubble Bath?
I LOVE your stories about children and not beating yourself up about being the ‘perfect mom’. I’d love to see more inspirational stories and quotes about parenting 🙂
Thanks for all you do!
What a cute necklace! Of course, I’d love to win it! Hope I do. 🙂
A scarf. I LOVE scarves and am hoping I can continue wearing them into the Spring!
I’m a newbie today so I really don’t know what I’d like to see yet.
Lysa ~ You have been such an encouragement to me in the past few months! If you only knew!!! This is another fun side of you that I am enjoying to read about!!! I love shopping for this kind of stuff! Keep doing what your are doing … I wouldn’t change a thing! But to answer you question, how about interior design ideas …. just a thought.
How about some modest swim suits?
How about favorite helpful hints? Like either things that folks have recommended to you or you just stumbled upon… some little helpful thing that might make someone’s week! Like really, have you found anything that works when you leave the conditioner in your hair?
What about stories of how God has answered “impossible” prayers? Thanks Lysa for your encouragement.
How about good weekend/day trips: with the family, with just the hubby, or solo (I spent an amazing 60 hours at a hermitage last summer and hope to make a habit of it). Love the earrings, by the way! They appeal to the southern gal in me:-)
Things that smell wonderful – like lotions, body sprays, and candles. This time of year my favorite scents are floral like cherry blossom and sweet pea.
Favorite home remedies of any kind (health to stains and everything in between) !!!
Fun and light hearted stuff is good for fun Friday! Thanks Lysa! Happy Friday!
A grouping of what you might send to a friend in need of encouragement.
I always like to see others’ ideas.
I love the idea of helpful hints!!
I love your Friday posts! A great way to start the weekend! I would love to see simple ideas to brighten someone’s day! Thanks for sharing!
I would love to see some fun frames! I cannot get enough pictures of my family or quotes on my walls! 🙂
Lysa, my daughter in law has a few of us reading Say Yes to God as a bible study. I had read Unglued and loved it..I am not much of a reader, but I must admit I am enjoying your writings. She met you at a conference and is hooked. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she is growing in leaps and bounds with her relationship to God which as a mother is my prayer for and always has been for my sons. Thank you for your work. I enjoy your blog as well..praying for your continued messages and encouragement you give others!
Love the necklace! Sure would love to win one 😉
As for these “Friday Favorites” I would love to see beauty tips and tricks. Or nail polishes. There is always a good reason for a good nail polish color, and if any, like me, get a little helter skelter if we move outside of the neutral shades and pretty pinks, it could be fun to show some other color possibilities. I would love to learn how to pair a cute nail color with my outfit!
How about good books that you or your friends are reading right now?
Have a happy day!
I love all your favorites today! Just got my first leopard print flats too. 🙂 Would love to hear about your favorite fiction and/or non-fiction books sometime!
Favourite songs! My “listen over and over again a thousand times ” favourite song right now is Scandulous Grace by Hillsong United from their new Zion album
More clothing styles-things that go together well like you did today. Thanks!
Favorite books or CDs 🙂
Love the necklace and LOVE that we are Redeemed – through grace!!
I would like to see simple (fast) recipes for any nite of the week and cleaning tips – especially those that are ‘green’!
How about the decorating and the quotes or bible verses. I have bible verses on my walls in my home. For instance “With God all things are possible” I just loves Bible verses and some good quotes so decided to decorate with them. I’m not real good at decorating ideas, but I like this one.
Future Friday Favorites could include books (classics or new releases), accessories (love the necklace and earrings on today’s segment), home decor, poems, Bible verses, and anything crafty or creative.
What about favorite work-out gear? Playlists? Your workout essentials:)
Great necklace by the way! 😉
The necklace is fabulous! What I’d like to see covered on future Friday Favorites posts are some your favorite blogs or daily devotions.
Have a Wonderful Weekend!
Love all your post. So it is hard to think of something but here goes. How about a writing prompt about one of the items on your favorite item? Cute necklace…
I’d like to see ways to encourage our husbands… sometimes I want to but am at a loss to know just what to say or do… creativity is not my strong point.
I think laughter is so good for us! How about gathering people’s funniest embarassing moments/misunderstandings/mis-speaks (I know that’s not a word, but that’s the only way I can think to say it!)/kid stories/etc? Thanks for your blog!
I would love to see what make up you like for spring and summer.
Lysa, love the necklace. I love it when you share fav bloggers or unique stay.type of home businesses. Thanks for sharing this fun fashion! I also delight in those cute PINK earrings. Love me some pink earrings. Mm
Love the Friday favorites today and I LOVE that necklace even more! I think it would be fun to see more favorite summer sandals as we all get ready for warmer weather!
How about some of your favorite beverages? (besides bubbly sodas) 😉 I love different coffees and teas and just new interesting ones. I love reading all of your stuff! It is always so uplifting! And I love it when you are on Focus on the Family!
Denise, I am a tea drinker. plain no sweetener, iced or hot. Only loose and good grades.
How about your favorite book or song? Love the necklace & love the part you wrote about the earrings and them making you want to hug someone…this coming from a fellow awkward hugger! You rock!!
I would love to see mix and match pieces for spring! Cute cardigans, capris, tops, and camis that you can mix up to create different spring outfits! I’m expecting our fourth child, so clothing options are necessecity! Thanks for these fun posts, Lysa! 🙂
How about favorite blogs….
Love the necklace!!!
Oh Lysa… I feel your pain with the conditioner! (been there—done that!)
Thanks for these little Friday Favorites… I love them… and love this one today. I really like the earrings too! I’ve been looking for some pink ones for spring. Where did you find them?
As for future Friday Favs…. I enjoy them all and look forward to them each week.
I’ve been going through some of my Grandmother’s things that I inherited after she passed on in January. I’ve got a lot of little trinkets/notebooks/sketches/etc that aren’t worth a thing, except for the memories, which is priceless. So I wondering if you have any ideas of storing or displaying things like this?
Thanks again for all that you do. Someday soon I’ll let you know about a recent prayer journey I’ve been on, and how your “31 personalized scriptures” helped me, just when I needed it most.
God is good!
would love to see some fun recipes and fun food ideas.
love the tea, I love tea.
I am a yankee by geography but sweetea 🙂 is the nectar of the heavens!
I’d love to see some of your favorite things to do in your “down time”
Favorite luncheon spots… Besides Chickfila!
I love your Friday Favorites; it gives me a little shopping without spending any money that I don’t have. All your little favorites are really beautiful and special and your heart is obvious in each one.
Maybe you can include a little something from other countries every now and again – I am originally from South Africa and the jewelry there is so different and beautiful; I know other countries must also have their favorites 🙂
Love Friday Favorites! Love new home ideas, recipes, fun get-away places!
All things yellow! 🙂
Love Friday fav….love necklace too!! 🙂
I love the necklace and would love more info on (in)courage.
Thanks so much
I like hearing about new songs, a new book, new products or new ideas you came across for the week. This gives me ideas to try or not try if it wasn’t a good purchase
Lysa, tea is wonderful. It is so comforting to sit quitely for morning devotions and sip a nice cup of good tea. Or in the afternoon a nice tall ice tea (without sweetener) reading a good book. If you are going to explore tea go to tea shop not the grocery store.
I’m excited for Jesus today and working towards a closer relationship with him through your M2C book and devotion. I have lost 14 pounds in 19 days. Now while I know that sounds fast it hasn’t seemed like it. I feel like I’m just simply eating to live instead of living to eat. I have already started getting compliments but I am doing my very best to keep this about the Lord and not vanity. I have to admit the compliments are nice though.
I think what I’d like to see on your Friday blogs would maybe a really great Salmon recipe!
Geesh, I just realized I spelled your name wrong. So sorry Jesus girl! I work with a “Lisa”.
Have a blessed day to you and all your staff @ Proverbs 31, Lysa!
I love “Friday Favorites”, how about this for a different idea. What about some of the favorite ways people have made your day. For example, I had applied to work in a Spa, and one of the nice things my boss did was to send me a bouquet of cut flowers in a vase. On the card she wrote ” Welcome to the Spa!” That’s how I knew I got the job. Isn’t that nice! So it inspired me to do little nice things like that for others, because it was an unexpected way to learn about employment.
It really won’t matter to me what your future Friday segment contains. You speak to me and my heart with all you write. I believe we may have been separated at birth! I struggle with so many of the same issues I read about on your blog, your devotions and your books. I thank God that I found you and Proverbs 31 Ministries. As the result of feeling convicted after reading one of your devotions about a year ago, I have repaired the relationship with my estranged sister. And I am using a verse you recently included in a devotion as the basis for our family’s mission statement, which is hung in our entryway for all to see. You see, you inspire me with so much of what you write that I’ll enjoy all of your Friday segments, no matter what. One difference between us is that, while I have four children, mine are in the depths of diapers, night-wakings and naps while yours are teenagers and young adults. So perhaps a topic for us moms with younger children, you could share your motherly advice on surviving these difficult and exhausting years. But truly, whatever God puts on your heart to write will surely speak to me. It almost always does.
And BTW, I’d LOVE that Redeemed necklace. Thanks!
I enjoy seeing your favorites. I would love to see the every day finds that make your day easier, brighter and happier.
I would love to hear about any helpful hints you have tried for decorating on a budget or home improvement ideas. I’m renovating my parents’ home and would love any ideas!!! Thank you for being such a blessing with your writing. God bless you!
Since you mentioned hair, maybe favorite hair products, accessories, or quick hairstyles might make for a good Friday favorites 🙂
I would love to see your favorites on how you stay in shape and healthy.
Lysa, I’d love to hear what your favorite ways to wind down are. I may have to pick up one of those necklaces (of course if I don’t win one!)
I would like to hear about favorite books, scripture verse, music CD.
Love you Lysa! Our Mom’s Group just finished Unglued and I love Made to Crave. I would pick your go to food when cravings are their worst. How have you continued to maintain your weight – it’s hard girl!
Favorite childhoold toy/board game. So fun…..
OR – favorite healthy snack or trick
thanks for the bright spot on a looonnnnnngggggg Friday work day!
Thank you for the encouragement you put out everyday on FB. It has really helped me get through a rough month.
As for Friday Favorites…favorite book, fiction or non-fiction, favorite recipes, favorite restaurants, favorite date night activities…or girl night out activities.
I would love to see a favorite DIY project – I’m trying to get a bit craftier, and it seems a little less intimidating to start with a recommendation 😉
I say don’t change a thing, keep posting your favorite things on Fridays!
I love the flats and happened to be wearing the same pair today. 🙂 Gotta love Target. However the necklace is fabulous too. I was thinking a good topic for Friday Favorites would be favorite compliments received or favorite names of God.
I love all the stuff you posted – except for the tea. Not a tea drinker. I’d love to know your favorite books, music, foods, restaurants, or just what you had here. Keep ’em coming. And….. I want that necklace.
would just love the redeemed necklace….i love that your real about everyday life…and how we do come unglued..sometimes not at the best of times..i always seem to come apart with my husband…im learning that God is in control not me….u just write whatever God puts on your heart and im sure all us women are going thru the same thing…have a good day!!!!!
Love the necklace! How about favorite places to visit when you have a young family.
I would love to see some of the fun things you like to do during spring. You notice I say fun…this does not include spring cleaning!! LOL. Thanks for all of your encouragement.
I love the notebook!!
I am a born journalist and have them every where and the cute ones just call to you ” pick me up and write in me”.
I know one day when I am gone it will be a true gift to my 5 kids to have these beautiful trendy journals to have a insight to their mothers thoughts, prayers and dreams. The truly are an insight to my relationship with my Jesus!
SCARVES!!! Is what I would love to see in the Friday clip 🙂 I am obsessed with them.
Love love love the necklace!!!! I have 4 daughters and I have to admit I spoil them… Which usually leaves nothing for me. I also have to admit Te necklace would be a super treat for myself 🙂 is that bad????
Love you Lisa <3 God works through you to inspire me every day. Bless you
I would like to see some of the inexpensive [even free] things you like to do with your friends. For my 40th birthday last year, my best friend and I spent a whole afternoon in a thrift store and had a blast! We tried on ugly hats and sang the songs from all the records in the bargain bin. We bounced on couches and quoted poems from books. It was a much needed, inexpensive stress reliever. I love your blog and can SO relate to your posts. You are such a blessing girl!
To include in future posts…fashion, favorite treats and/or favorite places to visit near and far.
I new favorite Christian book you might be reading would be a good idea!
Would love to see your favorite books and authors!
I would love to know what you are cooking! I am always looking for new recipes- breakfast- lunch- dinner- doesn’t matter! 😉
I just started following your site in the last few weeks and just love it. Friday Favs was such a nice surprise! Living in a small town makes it a little more challenging to get that boutique experience of stumbling upon unique and beautiful gift ideas and personal splurges. This helps! How about addordable gift ideas for the special women in our lives?
Thanks for all you do!
LOVE the necklace! Would like to see your favorite “sweet” spring recipe. Thanks for the words of encouragement you post. Happy Friday!
Have you tried Soda Stream machine?? We got one for Christmas and love it. I can get all the carbonation I want but put natural fruit juices in it 🙂
Bathing suit season is coming up… OUCH!!! I would love to see MODEST and FLATTERING and AFFORDABLE swimwear and accessories.
I’d love the necklace!!!!!!!!
I’m so blessed reading all your posts and encouragement!
Would love some posts on ideas of inexpensive ways to feel pampered and get that alone time to feel like a woman!
I love the necklace. I enjoyed reading about what you are enjoying this season- and the whys. I would love to see fun things that you are willing to share- things that remind us just how “real” and like the rest of us you are!
I would love to hear book recommendations. Maybe a review of books you’ve recently read. Love the necklace! What a great reminder–kinda like a garland to grace our neck as Solomon says.
I really like to wear things ( as they did in the Bible/writing the scripture on your forehead so to speak) that remind me of who I am. I have a necklace that says Be still ….It reminds me that I need to do that! One of the things that God is doing in my life is teaching me how to love my neighbor ( that I might inherit eternal life). We have had many tragedies in our “kingdom family” recently and sometimes we need to be reminded to love others when they are not in crisis mode. Ideas on that topic would be great on a Friday to have the weekend to put them into action:)
How about fun and spontaneous things to do at home with the family when the kids come out with that line…”Mooooommmm, I’m bored!” Here is one I can’t wait to try that I recently saw on a movie, it’s called “The Peanut Butter Game” and everyone takes turns lying on the floor and putting peanut butter on their face and letting the dog lick it off! It looks hilarious!
Great Friday fun. I guess I would also like to see Favorite Bible verse and why and maybe Favorite person of the week and why… a little more personable. I like that stuff!
I am also glad that unlike Oprah’s favorite things, yours are affordable for the regular Joe (or Jane).
I like the idea someone else said about sayings – whether funny or inspirational. Also like the idea of inexpensive decorating ideas and/or crafts.
I really like everything you posted, and I must admit, I wear my leopard print flats all year long! Perfect addition to a pair of jeans, or even some cute capris or dress pants:) Go for it:) As for future Friday Favorites, music? books? more jewelry? definitely more jewelry.
Maybe a review of some books you’ve been reading. Love the necklace! A great reminder–Kind of like a garland to grace our neck as Solomon says.
Cuteness! I’m always looking for good fashion ideas and tips, especially being a mom of four boys who seems to be losing her sense of fashion these days:) I think I would benefit from anything to do with husbands or parenting. These are the two areas that I seem to draw more to since I feel I need to improve in both of these areas the most!
Fave snacks, makeup, hair stuff, nail polish, songs, games, music, even cleaning products!
Please write occasional updates on the food and weight issues you discussed in Made to Crave.
I think it would be fun to see favorite blogs or websites. Also I enjoy the kind of stuff you had today, such as jewelry, shoes. It all seems like fun.
Ideas about unwinding and taking better care of ourselves.
LOVE the necklace! I love Dayspring-if I’m not mistaken they are a company in my home state of Arkansas. They make great calendars that inspire me and make me laugh. Happy Friday for sure!
I absolutely LOVE all of your fashion suggestions. PLEASE do more of these. 🙂
Love today’s post. The Redeemed necklace you mentioned doesn’t have the word “redeemed” on it (at least not that I could find), and even though I love it, I’m still in search of jewelry or bags or accessories that say “redeemed”. So in future Friday Favorites, if you come across something like that, maybe you could share that with us. Thanks and y’all have a God-blessed weekend. Linda from Texas.
I love any “girlie’ things! I would love to know if there is any equivalent business that makes calendars/note books like the MuchToDoAboutYou! You suggested them some time ago & have ordered their calendars & love them.
I have to tell you I am (slowly) reading your book, Unglued and can’t tell you how much I can relate to all you say. i feel like we could be sisters (I know we are in Christ). But I LOVE the advice you give, the suggestions to think another way & the scripture.
I am so thankful I found you.
God Bless You.
I would like to see Favorite Books/Bible Studies and accessories. Accessories are always fun and you can never have too many! 😉
I would like to see favorite books
Love the earrings! I am going to try sparkling water when I need that fizz…..it has to be better than soda 🙂
I love a comfortable pair of jeans! I had to leave work today and go home and change. My most favorite, comfortable pair of jeans had started to shred on the backside!
Lysa I Love your sense of humor. You know what they say about laughter doing the heart good; your heart must be in great shape! Thanks for sharing the pics, without them the visual just wouldn’t have been the same. Make me want to check out Target! How about a part two to Too Cute. Loved the Redeemed necklace, it reminds me of what my LORD did at Calvary. We are the Redeemed! Praise GOD, Hallelujah! Thank YOU JESUS, Thank YOU LORD!!!
I really enjoy Favorite Fridays, it’s like a mini Pinterest, just not so overwhelming. I’m still looking for Barefoot in Barcelona, I know one day it will turn up. Love the little leopard flats today. I think as women we all enjoy the same things I’ll leave the creativeness up to you. Lots of great ideas so far, always good to hear what people are reading, watching, wearing.
I would love to see some favorite kid items! Enjoy seeing Friday Favorites.
I would love to win that necklace. And I have a couple of ideas for you….how about favorite flowers?….or maybe favorite movies? I love some of the other gals ideas too.
Thanks for the Friday cuteness!
It’s been a rough day and I’m glad I started it in your unglued devotional, and now for the addition of some cute things to bring a smile…
Hubby had to have a surgical test done under anesthesia at the hospital.
As we were leaving to go to the hospital, we got a call that our son who lives in another state fell 20 feet and landed on his head…cracked his skull, some blood pooling and we couldn’t talk to him because he was knocked out on pain meds for the severe pain.
While my hubby was in surgery 2 nurses came to check on me in family waiting because I finally got to talk to my son and was sobbing.
Both have a good prognosis, but it’s been a rough month today, so thanks for the good Word in the AM before all this fun hit and for the sunshine this afternoon!
Love the shoes and for the Target tip!
May have to get my daughter a pair, and, hey, may even check out a pair for me!
I would love more info on the in courage…I have a friend who has a birthday this month!
Thanks for all you do, Lysa!
I’m in full time ministry myself and know how hard it can be!
Keep fighting the good fight, girlfriend!
Love and Blessings,
Love your posts. Reading them in the morning helps ground me and stay focused on God. Oh, by the way, I love the shoes and I wear a size 8!. The journal is nice and any size will work. Thanks fir being such an inspiration.
I love your recent posts. I would also like to see Favorite Fridays with simple tips/ideas for the upcoming weekend….maybe things to do for yourself to be better person spiritually, physically, emotionally etc or then sometimes tips for family fun ideas or for marriage ideas – they could tie in with the seasons.
One of my friends and I were talking about how we love things that are soft. We love soft blankets, soft robes, soft shirts, soft night shirts, soft socks, etc. The funny thing is this past year at church we were each other’s “secret sister” and I bought her a really soft blanket that she now keeps on her sofa and she bought a really soft robe for me that I absolutely adore.
I just want to thank you for staying real and staying true to your faith. I’m so glad we’re sisters in him because we’re both Redeemed.
Anything outdoor related… Us northerners are finally getting a peek at spring and I’m going spring fever crazy!
I’m new to your site, but would love to see another round like this. Unfortunately, I now feel compelled to make a Target run :)! I’m looking forward to visiting here often.
How about some ideas for Women’s
Ministry Outreach. For example, How
to minister to women that have been
victims of domestic violence. Your idea
about cute things is great, and would
make any Friday a Happy Day!!!!
I enjoy anything that can be helpful in the day to day life. Encouraging sayings, bargains, quizzes, anything to help my mind and body stay active.
I would like to see your favorite date ideas or family/kid activity ideas (my kids are 11-17 years old). Regardless, I know I will enjoy b/c I always smile at your writings.
lovely items and great ideas. going to check on those shoes;)
I love all your posts! I would like to see something on “kind gestures”. I like to do “little happy’s” for others.
Hi Lysa I would love for you to keep Fridays as a day to share your favorites in clothes and stores and books and stuff…Blessings to you!!!
I think that you should show some of your favorite places…in NC or just the South. Maybe show some “secret” places that not everyone would know.
I’d love to see your favorite bloggers… who do you subscribe to? And Lysa, I NEED one of those Redeemed necklaces. Years ago I was in church and we were singing “There is a Fountain Filled with Blood.” When we got to the line that says “redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die,” I began to cry. I realized that redeeming love had not been my theme! If by theme, we mean what we talk about, think about, value the most…. it had not been my theme. But I vowed there and then that it would be. So you see, because God’s REDEEMING LOVE has been so precious to me, my theme(!), I simply must have the necklace to document it! Love you, girl, and praying fervently for that crazy ear-ringing to GO AWAY!
Love your selections & humor. I’m a bag girl myself so I’d love to see more purses & totes. God bless you for the work you do sharing God’s love (& a little earthly pleasure too)!
I love to see anything turquoise!!
I would love to see favorite cookbooks and favorite kids. yup, we all have them 😉 Amy
I would love to hear about your fave book or study that encourages women on how to be supportive wives and lift up their husbands.
I love those shoes! Never been much for animal prints in clothing, but these are cute.
I appreciate your posts, each one is so uplifting and if I don’t need it then, usually have someone to share them with, and the blessings just flow around!
Thank you Lisa, for your heart and desire to encourage others in the LORD.
Like the Friday Favorites!
I love the extras that add a “pop” or just make an outfit complete. I SO need that.
I sure would love that necklace! I was baptized this weekend…yes, Easter Sunday! And the church gave me a t-shirt to wear while being baptized and my shirt just happened to say redeemed on it!
I think you should do fun Fridays like this post today…favorite things, whatever!
I love Friday favorites. Keep putting your favorites – seeing them and what you say about each of them, I know we could really be good friends. 🙂 Love you Lysa and keep writing. Love it. TGIF!
Friday Favorites: RELAX! 🙂 I need to relax!
Favorite family activities-at home, in the local area, vacations, etc
Too Bad that I can paste any pictures of some of Chico’s awesome scarves in this little comment box! But most fun of all (even if you think that you are not a scarf girl) check out Chico’s website under accessories to watch the video on all of the creative ways you can wear scarves- including wearing a scarf as a vest!! If you live near a Chico’s they put these cuties on sale all of the itme!!
This necklace is a keeper and I can see why it would make any girl proud to own it! I would be thrilled to wear this little jewel!
How about a coffee related Friday? Mugs, favorite coffees, snacks to go with coffee, pots, signs, tee shirts, etc. Could be fun!
I’m not good with fashion, but I do enjoy good books, so I’d love to hear life changing books or the best books you’ve read.
Lysa, I would like you to talk about keeping the wonderful feeling when you leave a really good message at Church! It lasts through Sunday, but then Monday happens and the feeling starts to fade. Love your books, blogs and you!!
Hi Lysa. You are an inspiration to us all. Since so many love you and “follow” you, how bout picking your favorite “God story” of the week? As in sharing each week from either your own experience or one that you’ve been blessed to hear of – but you know – those Unexplainable moments when God does a miracle in our lives? Others call them coincidence but we know better. You could tie your giveaways to the theme of the “miracle” as a tangible way to remember it. 🙂
I am loving Friday Favorites! It would be nice to hear your favorite worship music! Love you Lysa!
Lysa, you always make me smile and laugh.Thank you, too for inspiring me in my walk with God. Friday Favorites… would be nice if you can share ideas for family vacations, family fun time, and inspirations for bringing our kids closer to God. Many thanks!
I am always looking for good christian books to read. Would be great to hear what others are reading. What books have been an encouragement to you. Fiction, non-Fiction, Biogaphies, studies…whatever.
I love these Friday Favorites! I like to call them “Fabulous Fridays”!! My daughters are always sharing makeup and hair tips and tricks… I think perhaps that would be fun to see on one of your Friday Favs! (Minus the not rinsing out the conditioner – which I, too, have also done!! haha)
Just got done doing the 6 week Unglued study at church… Loved it!!!
I would love to see wall art, or bible accessories… 🙂
I love the shoes & necklace!!! I would love to see Friday Favorites about authors, family vacation spots & family things to do with teenagers. Have a great day!!!
Love the necklace and notebooks too! Would love to hear what speaks love to you or to another. Somewhat like the Love Languages type thing.
Lysa, God has definately given you a gift by allowing your words to come to life. I can’t tell you how many times your devotionals have helped lift my spirits, encouraged me, and given me a glimpse of our amazing Lord and Savior. I also really enjoy reading your blog post and your Friday Favorites are really fun. You asked what we would like to see in future favorites so let me think…. how about those favorite things that inspire you, or your favorite songs, favorite movies, or your favorite simple pleasures. 😉
Favorite songs, favorite beaches…whatever. You make it fun.
Lysa, I like to see your Favorite Friday include some fun get-away ideas or couple activities to recharge “that loving feeling” for a married couple with teenagers (oh my)!
Would love to see favorite apps, favorite books, favorite bible study. Great necklace.
I am loving what you are doing already – but would also love to see your favorites in decorating ideas. Picture frames, knick-knacks, etc. I’m always looking for cute ideas to do with family photos as a display.
How about some more musings about your writing career – favorite reference books – authors that ‘toot your horn.’
Friday Favorites remind me to embrace beauty and things that make me feel good. As a working mom of a 2-yr old & 6-mo old, It takes so much effort to get everyone “ready” that I don’t make time to get myself “ready.” I almost forget what it feels like to embrace cuteness. So, thank you for the reminder and thanks for bringing smiles and laughter to my overwhelmingly busy days! 😉 PS: I’d love to see favorite date night ideas & favorite family activities.
Cute is RIGHT! I am loving all the flats out and the necklaces/accessories with quotes/meaningful words. I had even asked for one as a birthday gift this year…it did not appear though! Thanks for sharing….I look forward to all of your posts, Lysa!
Lysa, love, love, love, your sense of humor and fun! A gal- friend and I went to hear Chonda Pierce last night in Lenoir City, TN. It’s always good to share great times, laughter, and cute shoes and purse info with women. And, you, like Chonda, are always willing to share the crazy, wild, weird, and challenging things we encounter on this journey we call Life..her big thing last night was the trials and tribulations of wearing Spanx…you always make me chuckle about your hair issues. Thanks for being so authentic! Press on!
Anything-you are a good writer-you make me laugh and cry-that’s good right?
Cute Cute. Absolutely love the necklace and shoes (although, I’m so short I rarely wear flats). I would like to see ideas on cute modest summer fashion. How to dress for the heat without dressing “less”.
Those flats and necklace are adorable! I’d love to see a Friday favorites about comfy, cool, yet modest summer clothes or some ways you organize your writing area. Fantastic ministry, I look forward to checking back every day.
I would like to see anything that makes life simpler. Things that can do double or triple duty instead of having so much stuff.
maybe some house decor favorites too
I was just introduced to your ministry this week through a quote that a friend posted on Facebook. I have enjoyed your daily encouragement on there and on your website so far. I look forward to reading more. I would like to see some of your favorite family outdoor activities, as the weather begins to warm up this spring!
Love a good Friday Favorite! In the future, it would amazing to see what one of our favorite authors has been reading lately, so maybe a book list?
Thanks for your posts!
I have been following your ministry through Proverbs 31 daily devotions, I’ve purchased a couple of your books, and love your sense of humor. I have recently chose “I am redeemed” due to God’s mercy and grace in my life. I unfortunately am going through a divorce which I never expected nor would have ever considered. I got married before my 42nd birthday and thought I would be married “until death do us part”. My husband made other plans. Last year in July, he reconnected with his first love from high school on FB. I am completely devastated, heartbroken, and emotionally distraught. I pleaded and begged him to commit to our family, and I’ve sought counseling from my pastors and fellow shipped for support with women at church. Even after his infidelity I still thought we could save our marriage, he did not. I am trusting in Lord and seeking his guidance moment by moment. I pray continually for our 13 year old son that his heart will be guarded and the effects of all this doesn’t harm him emotionally. Pray for us in the Mighty and Powerful Name of Jesus.
Fun free things for kids and couples.
Simple stated – I like Friday Favorites as it is. I am a simple kinda gal – so keep it simple and light. Love, love, love the journals – inspirational for writing! Thanks for your writing – keeps me going.
I would like to see the top 10 ways you encourage your husband. Needing ideas without seeming like I’m trying too hard 🙂 Encouraging men is so different than women!
I did the same thing you did with a frizz tamer before our Life Group gathering from church . Tried to dry it but it was so flat it looked like I hadn’t washed my hair in a month! Had to wash and dry my hair 15 minutes before our guests got there. I was definitely praying that night!
Love the Friday Favorites!
Hey Lysa, I think this Favorites on Friday is a fantastic and fun!! I’m always in a mood to share great finds:) how about makeover ideas? Beauty products that we over 40 can feel and achieve our best aging selfs!!
Lysa, I love this! First time to get the fabulous Friday !!!
I’d love to see home decor ideas, maybe a fun new recipe, but I always like to see how people put their ideas together!
I would be honored to be the lucky winner of the necklace as I have been struggling with the redeemed part I know it’s the devil but he’s making me wonder if its head knowledge or heart knowledge thank you for all your encouragement. I’m looking forward to getting your book unglued
The necklace is beautiful! Thanks for giving one away to someone.
I see that several people mentioned they’d like to see your favorite books mentioned on Fridays. I’d take that a step further and ask for your favorite Christian fiction books, or at least your favorite CF authors.
Hi Lysa, I would like to see cute blouses/sweates. Thanks for shopping the net for me.
Love the accessories! Love seeing your ideas (so I can steal them!) Love the earrings, tee jeans and flats idea, Thanks! That’s a lot of loves in three sentences. Thank you for Friday Favorites, it is a nice little pick me up for my afternoon. I would love to see your favorite easy dinner ideas.
God Bless you 🙂
Such a cute necklace. I don’t think you can ever have too much jewelry or notebooks for that matter. I buy journals, notebooks and pens all the time. My daughter loves pens also. I know I have a writer inside me and sometime the words will start pouring forth and I will need all the notebooks and pens I have bought.
Dream rooms, vacation spot, backyard, porch….something to think about, imagine.
I look at rooms on Pinterest and discuss them with my daughter or I show it to my husband and tell him to get busy and he laughs at me…lol. The pictures start fun conversations.
Today We Had To Put Down Our Dear BerneseMountain DogNamedMaggi. TheLordBlessedUsWitA LittleOver7YearsWithHer. SheWasAsSweetAsSheWasBeautiful. I Would Love To See A Favorite Pets Friday In Honor Of My Maggi.
What about a list of favorite blogs or websites.? I’ve been blessed by the UNGLUED devotional 🙂
Thanks for being obedient and allowing God to use you 🙂
I would love to see new ideas on how others encourage their family or friends. Love your blog!
I love your light hearted approach to Fridays. Just keep it light. Thanks for all you do.
So many things can be added to such a fun Friday. I’m a people person. I would love for some random ladies who visit the blog to share pics of themselves, maybe a sweet bio…I just love the uniqueness that our Heavenly Father has created.
Lysa- Thank you for being so real! I appreciate your willingness to let God use you to minister and share with us from your heart. You always make me smile and encourage my heart to draw closer to The Lord! I really enjoy the Friday Favorites and I think I’d like to see more of your “fun” fashion, accessories, etc…things that make us go “ooohhhh!” What a great way to end the week! :-). Love the necklace and cute notebook!
Lysa, I just adore you! You say things so exactly the way I would like to! Ha, ha! I love your fb devotionals and writings. I am new to your website, and so happy I found it!! I will be a “regular” from now on! I too, love a cute little notepad or notebook. I friend gave me one last year for my birthday and I enter favorite bible verses and quotes in it’s pretty pink leather-like bound interior 🙂
how about sharing your favorite date ideas??
I would love to see lists of places to get away for weekends to have a “spiritual retreat” that are not expensive.
I would also love to see some ideas for spiritual retreats that are not expensive.
I like the Friday posts!!! It would be nice to see what you are reading, I love all of your books and I just got your new bible and it is amazing. Thank you for all of your encouragement!
I love product! So, for me this was great. I would be interested in seeing something similar to this again. Favorite books would be great too! I love what you do here, thanks.
I would love to see home decor/ DIY things..
The necklace is great. Might have to buy one no matter what. I tried on those shoes and needed one size smaller. Other wise they would have been in my closet. 🙂
I would love to see you cover your favorite fluff books, you know, just for fun books!
Wow!! Love your post today. I would love to see bling- what every girl likes as well as bible studies!! Love the necklace …. My life is so Blessed cause I’m Redeemed!!
Also, reminds me of Pinterest which I like to look at on friday nights…let’s see Friday Favourites: things to do by yourself….ways to recharge….lovable things…there’s a few…Deborah
I would like to see a favourite list of things you do when you need to laugh!
You know what would be great? Friday Favorites that are all Christ centered activities to do with kids! I am always looking for fun ways to share about Jesus with my three year grandson. The ideas could be an experience to share or making an art type project. Thanks for all you do to encourage and teach women, Lysa!
What creative ways do you memorize and pour God’s Word into your heart?
We had a conversation today during a rare family lunch at the table. “What’s your favorite __________?” was the topic. My sweet 7 year-old asked, “What’s your favorite picture?” That led to a great conversation about memories.
So, Lysa, what’s your favorite picture?
I would love to see u talk about favorite pictures if Jesus that u would like for your home. You r awesome and I’m so grateful to u for Unglued. Your book and bible study hanged my life. Thank u!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why we all need to plant more flowers.
I already love what you include on Friday Favorites! What about favorite music?
Lysa, you are precious!! This is my first time reading your Friday Favorites! Love!!! Can we go shopping together please?? I would like to see little cute lamps on a future post…. You know, like the little cute lamps I drooled over in Target yesterday….the super girly ones ;-).
You are such a blessing!!
I WOULD LIKE A FAVORITIE THINGS TO DO OR FAVORITE PLACES TO GO!!!!!!!!
We had a conversation today during a rare family lunch at the table. “What’s your favorite __________?” was the topic. My sweet 7 year-old asked, “What’s your favorite picture?” That led to a great conversation about memories.
So, Lysa, what’s your favorite picture?
Favorite books or books that you are currently reading would be fun. 🙂
I love the cuteness! Keep it coming 🙂 Here’s another suggestion…what are some “little things” you do in your relationships to keep them strong (esp. marriage). ie. date night ideas? The simpler the better!
Lysa try your favorite juice mixed with sparkling water, it is better than soda and still gives the bubbling tingles to your tongue. I have also started watering down juice in a big glass of ice water, I know it sounds gross, but it isn’t so bad. By the way love your favorite things!
Lysa, I ‘m new to your blog, but I do like the necklace!
LOVE your favorites ! I get my “fizz” fix from diet tonic and lime with a splash of Crystal light ! YUMMY , my son calls it healthy Sprite !
Would love to hear about some of your favorite family traditions, making memories with your kids & keeping things in perspective with little ones 🙂
Summer ideas for long days and little kids at hone would be great too!
How about some favorite things you like to do with your kids??
Lysa, a few years ago I found LaCroix water, just plain, but had the “fizz” without the calories!
Now they have so many flavors…my favorite is the grapefruit! In the summer I enjoy coconut! They are so refreshing after a day working in the garden or a hard workout!
I love spring….maybe a Friday sharing spring ideas on flowers, fashion and food!
What about one Friday, sharing an embarrassing (even funny) incident that the Lord allowed you to experience and what you learned from it? Happens to me ever so often…..what heavenly sandpaper! I think we could all identify with that!
Friday is a “wind down” day at the end of a busy week in our household. I like lighter “reads and devotions” on Fridays, so your favourite things suit me fine 🙂 I’m also starting to think about cooking and baking for the weekend, so recipes are fine too – low fat, low salt, HEALTHY items!
Fiction- a good book with a great story to relax and wind down the busy week!
Ideas for Friday favorites…….Favorite (cheap) date ideas, Favorite Movies to watch (rent), Favorite advice given to you. Do I win?
How about favorite, inexpensive and special outings with your hubby and/or teenage daughter. I’m running out of ideas and need help! 🙂
Love this necklace! Thanks for offering the giveaway. How about cosmetics–nail polish, lip gloss, blush, fragrance?
How about giving a necklace for a soldier. Just saw my tooth surgeon today. She was stationed in Iraq for years. Lived in a tent with 40 women, no showers for 3 weeks at a time, no toilets, until someone made them one. A bucket and two wood planks to sit on. She performed surgeries on the Marines in the middle of Iraq with no air conditioning in the scorching heat. I would love to give my Doctor a necklace to thank her for her service to our country in worse than primitive conditions. She is one in a million!
How about favorite places to visit……like neat little towns, quirky shoppes, etc….?
Let’s see…..Favorite salads, favorite books, favorite ways to de-stress (Stressed-Less Living anyone?), favorite vacation spots, favorite DIY projects, (oh forget that one….who’s got time for DIY projects????)
I’d love to know what you are reading….in addition to God’s word what are some books that keep you motivated.
Hey Lysa! I nearly peed my pants this evening reading your MOPS message about the fountain! It doesn’t sound like you enjoyed that adventure as much as Hope did. Still lol.
Well, I’m totally excited about this new APP- Yay!! I just know anything you put on here I will be thrilled to see and will roll with laughter cause you are funny like that…btw, I gotta have that necklace and I promise we can be twins- or not.
Books, mommy bits, study tips, anything on style- Love-Love!!
Favorite healthy and afortable meals and good books or books from the bible for mother and daughters to strengthen our relationship and our relationship with God. Things to do has a family that isnt costly or free so we have no excuse besides tv.
How about favorite dessert recipes, favorite Christian songs to exercise by, favorite random acts of kindness…. I love give-aways! Thank you for offering this one.
Love these favorites, and would love new music recommendations or books.
Music or books would be great. So would vacation spots and recipes. Oh what the heck…Lysa, anything you post about will be awesome so I don’t care what you write about as long as you keep the posts coming! Thanks for another great giveaway! 🙂
I love Friday Favorites and wouldn’t change anything about it. 🙂
Best loved inspirational fiction.
I would love to know what you like to read in the way of fiction. Do you have any favorite authors? BTW, love the leopard flats! I think you could rock them any time of the year!
I always enjoy looking at office organization or new computer software/apps for organizing my life
I’d love to know your favorite recipes, books, music, scripture, hobbies. 🙂
I would love to hear more of your suggestions for “unglueing”! After reading “Unglued”, I am on a personal mission with My Father to tackle my issues as I begin making imperfect progress!
My idea for a favorite on Friday; adopting a homeless dog or cat from your local animal shelter:) So many wonderful dogs and cats in need of homes……we rescue them and they rescue us right back with their unconditional love and devotion:) You could spotlight a dog or cat at your local animal shelter in the hopes of helping him or her find a loving and forever family:)
Books and of course more necklaces, love this one!
Love the necklace! Would love to hear what your favorite books are!
Reading is definitely a favorite of mine (just finished Unglued today!), Fri or not, so I’d love to know what your favorite reads are!
For once, I don’t like something you said, that about the carbonated fizzy… only because I got off of sodas and I miss the fizz! So not really a bad thing you said, just tempting but I’ll stick to my teas!
Would love that necklace. “Redemption” is one of my favorite words. I enjoy movies along that theme. I love redemption stories. I am so grateful to be redeemed.
As to what else to see on Fridays… I don’t know what to suggest. For now, I like what I’ve been seeing!
Dear Lisa, I love the light theme, this was way cute. Books, music, movies, recipes, date ideas are all good suggestions. I loved this necklace when I saw it, but Debbie Wilson gave a great suggestion for it going to a war hero. Yeah, soda pop is bad, diet drinks are even worse for your health, still always glad you are real.
Love the necklace. Would love feel good, smell good and things that touch the heart.
Thanks so much for the encouragement and support you give.
I LOVE this little fashion friday- keep them coming!
I quite like the idea of “random” faves. Books, quotes, bible verses, places, people, products, you get the picture. Maybe some of your readers could take a turn at posting some of their favorites too? How’s that for an easy-peasy Friday post?! 🙂
I just Love your writing. You are always just so honest. I mean really deep down….Honest. Um, favorites? Favorite Christian artists? Or Favorite Christian songs….?
A) I would like to echo the suggestion to mix sparkling water with juice. Especially a strong one, like grape or cranberry. That’s how I got over my soda needs!
B) I bought my cheetah flats about a year and a half ago, and pinned them (back when I was using Pinterest) and I STILL get notifications that they’ve been repinned. I think you’re good on that trend.
C) I’d love to see some Friday favorites for daughters! Mine is still small, but I have a big list of “someday stuff” that I need inspiration for.
I love your Favorite Fridays blog entry. I would love to see you do your favorite books. I would love win the necklace. In our Bible Study we just finished your Unglued series and will be starting Made to Crave this week. Love your books.
Recipes, fashion, books! I love it.
I love the Friday posts you’re doing now. It’s so fun to see what others are finding that add a bit of sunshine to their lives. You might have uncovered something I didn’t know I needed til I saw it!!!!!
Favorite books—fiction or non— would also be good.
I am not a very feminine lady. I never know what’s in style and what is coming up in style. I love that you give me some tips. Thanks! Please continue these “cuteness” emails.
Well, its Saturday morning ,so I missed Friday. Fridays are busy days for me. But Saturday mornings are a little bit of Heaven! I would love you to discuss Haircolor….to color or not to color, that is the question. I am 56, a working hairdresser and Salon owner, and I am going natural. I have beautiful Silver hair and I am going to embrace it. (I only have 1/2 inch roots right now). I have wanted to do it but I take a lot of criticism for it. But it just feels right. I would love to hear your take on this. ??????
I would agree with the suggestions of favorite Christian music/artists/worship songs and favorite books. Favorite things to do as a date with the hubby. Favorite places to visit. The list could go on!
Love the shoes, and I say if you like them, wear them, regardless of season. As for future Friday Faves posts, they are a fun diversion from life so please continue them. I actually like the ones like today’s – just random things that caught your eye or senses in some way. Whatever you choose to include, I know it will be fun to read about why you chose it.
Ohhh let’s do books! That would be awesome! Love Friday Favorites!
Hi Lysa, Just love your Fun Friday cute things! I think funny Christain sayings or jokes would be good! Your favorite movies you rent too! Your favorite last minute meal recipes or how to tie scarves! Where you like to volunteer too! The best goes on & on! Please give the necklace to the woman soldier Maybe ask the company to donate occasionally to other women in the service! Did you ever here about the besutiful cross necklace that traveled across the world? You were to wear it until the Lord told you to give it away! Cool huh? If you never changed up your posts they are precious! You are a talented woman!
I love your Friday favorites! It would be fun to know what your favorite books are, or maybe songs or desserts.
I just want to say thank you for knowing that these fun Friday favorites are important. It’s hard when you are trying to be a godly wife, working long hours, and keeping up in simple thing in life that make life easier or more enjoyable. So thank you!

Sorry to post here b/c my question is off-topic for your Friday post (Although I LOVE it!) I couldn’t find where to message you regarding a Made to Crave question… Do you still struggle with food? Boundaries, thoughts of food, your spirituality when it comes to food, etc. Or through all of your writing, overall journey with this issue, do you feel you’ve overcome this? I’m asking b/c I’ve been struggling for a long time. My process of overcoming started at age 16 and while I’ve come a long way, I’m not fully 100% freed from this. I think I “get it”, what I still need to do, pray each day for the “want to”, boundaries to set, etc. but it has just been so long. I believe in God’s promises for me regarding this so I thought I’d ask you where you’re at now and if you struggle still. Thank you!!! –Nicole (Still very hopeful but feeling a wall at times between me and God. Always have and I KNOW the wall is this issue. 🙁 )
I love your Favorite Fridays: Cuteness, great idea, fun and lighthearted. BTW, I love the leopard print flats. I have seriously been thinking about getting a pair for a while now.
I would like to see books added to Friday favorites!
Love your favorite things! I liked the idea of your favorite books! Thanks for being so encouraging!
Fun, fun, fun! Love hearing your faves and gets me thinking of my own. Than ks for the reminder to savor the simple things 🙂
I love this list. I am new to your blog, but I like little things that make me happy. Maybe a list of small things to be thankful for?
Love the necklace. I’m too late for the contest but I think its beautiful
Purses, shoes, jewelry, and other happy things! 🙂
I’m new to your site and love all of the articles I’ve read so far. I would love to have advice on how to keep teen-age girls on track with their faith and not get caught up in the everyday rat race of always having to have the best and/or be the best.
Thank you for this fun post! Christian women want to be glamorous too!! I would love to know what you are currently reading secular and non secular!!
So happy to find this treasure! Loved Crave and Unglued…and look forward to more of your charming posts! Im a fan!
Thanks for sharing your cute things!
I’d like to see your favorite Christian books for kids. Including devotionals, Bibles and fiction. My personal needs are for a 7 year old boy- but other than a great rhyming bible that we’ve used since he was 2 and a skew of other great younger sweet Christian books, I don’t have great ones for teaching the stories and growing with God as a young person.
Love everything you put on there already!!! A few more things that could be fun: nailpolish, lotion, song, snack, and easy to do hairstyle 🙂
Hi! In a better place, but still need some loving from my Jesus! Thanks Lysa for all you do!!
How about writing about some of the craziness in the places you get to visit…like the fact that it snowed yesterday in Minnesota in APRIL!!!!! btw…really loved your talk today and tried to re-tell the scuba story to my girls. They just need to hear it from you because you do it soooooo much better. Do you have a recording of that talk you gave today?
How about a purple theme? All of your fav purple things. It’s my favorite color 🙂
I love the idea of favorite ways to de-stress or relax…
Lysa, I love your style! It’s so fun to see this side of you. I’d love to see some home furnishings on your Friday Faves, too! And those flats are too cute!
How about favorite healthy family dinner ideas?? Especially budget-friendly. I always feel torn between healthy and inexpensive.
I wanted you to know that I just finished your book when women say yes to God. I choose to be a women who says yes to God and I told him I would go where he takes me. During that time I spoke at a small retreat and I told my pastor it was the desire to speak to women if that was God’s will. While at my study on your book I asked the ladies to pray that if God wanted me to speak he would open the door. I had said yes to God and was willing to go where ever it would be. I loved your book, love the message in it. I cried and allowed God to do a great work in me as I healed from a very violent act upon one of my children. Four days after praying with my bible study God open the door, no he kicked it off the hinges. It was just after the week that you talked about Ruth Graham and shared how you were part of her family. I though wow I would love to hear Ruth Graham or you speak someday. Because I was now a women who says yes to God I am now walking through the door that he kicked wide open and I will be seeing Ruth Graham speak in april because I was asked 4 days after to speak in a media seminar where she is speaking. Holy cow. I am out of my comfort zone and trusting God. I am now worried he may take my favorite bible or ask me to sell my house for something like that lol. I will be trusting in him as I do this. I have had confirmation to write my book and to get my blog going again. God is good and I am saying yes to him. One part of me wants to slap you for getting me into this (just joking) and the other side of me wants to hug you and tell you thank you. I will go with the second option. Thank you for writing your book. I have had it put on my heart to write a study for new believers and your study was behind that. Blessings to you!
Wow. sorry for the typos. I hit send before I could proof read.
Prayer is an awesome Friday topic! How to tell others when they ask you how to pray. How to teach your kids, especially teens, it’s okay to say what’s on your heart. This is a subject that could keep you going for quite sometime. Love your Friday Favorites!
Love your favorite Friday theme. Perhaps your favorite “God moment” (when you know He is speaking to you heart) of the week, or “blessing” (of how someone unexpectantly blessed you) of the week? – Colleen G.
Just a quick off-topic note….I just returned home from the Free to Fly event in Minneapolis, MN where you were a speaker. I just loved your presentations – both the one on Made to Crave, and the Unglued session this morning. You were awesome. I laughed so hard, I had tears running down my cheeks. I have read and reread both books, and they really speak to me. God has blessed you with a unique ability to connect with millions of women, and share your personal struggles along with Biblical teachings to help with these struggles. God bless your ministry always.
Your honesty always make me smile…an awkward hugger (me too). I love your Favorite Fridays…my suggestion… favorite photos? I thank God for leading me to your ministry Lysa. You are such a blessing.
I would love a post on your favorite quick and healthy recipes your family loves to make on Fridays. That is our relaxed family night in my house and i am always trying to find good recipes the men in my house would like. Loved this post too…i want the shoes, earrings, necklace and bag as well!
I love your Friday post! What about “favorite things to do when I have 30 minute blocks of time to unwind”…. Or favorite low calorie -low carb desserts…… Or favorite gifts to give girlfriends……. Or favorite worship songs on “surrender” or ” redemption”….:-)
I love your Friday Favorites posts! Brighten the day after a rough week! I think I would give the necklace to my friend; more her style than mine!
I am trying to be more whimsical in my style these days though.
For future posts on favorites; favorite movies that show a message from God on how he loves us unconditionally and forgiveness-what I’m trying to teach my preschoolers at the moment! Keep up the good work-I enjoy reading each and every e-mail/post I get in my inbox from you! THank you!
Love the notebooks. Nothing like a new journal/notebook and a pack of colorful Papermate Flair pens to brighten my day.
Thank u 4 Proverbs31 Ministries & all the inspiring articles & blogs on ur website. I love the ( in) Circle neckace & the leopard shoes! I would enjoy seeing more things on ur Friday blog which are both cute & affordable 4 fashion or the home, like leopard shoes from Target. Also, any websites u like 2 get either Christian or other fun gifts. Thx again!
I would like to see your favorite things….books, blogs, make-up, jewelry, etc
Love the notebooks – I am all over cute notebooks. And yes I have scribbled on the back of so many receipts, napkins, etc. one of the fun things about changing purses is discovering the old grocery lists and scribbled notes of tImes past. Not nearly as much fun as these cute notebooks!
awww:) Too cute!
Your favorite bargains! I’m a bargain lover!:) Aren’t we all?
Favorite scripture for the week.
I’ve just about finished your book “Unglued” and want to tell you how much I have enjoyed it. Thanks for being so transparent and letting the Lord use you to encourage others. God bless you!
Favorite things to do with your family. I am always looking for ideas 🙂
Im new to the blog so not sure if you’ve covered this yet, but, how about favorite places to travel? Thanks for offering this give-a-way, the necklace is beautiful!
I have just made a new friend who has brought so much joy into my life and is certainly an answer to prayer. We live about ten hours away from each other so we mostly talk via text or phone calls. One, I would love to bless her with this beautiful necklace because of her testimony involving her overcoming being a meth addict to now being a loving wife and mom who is being used greatly by the Lord to speak into the lives of others. And two, I would love to read posts about how to keep Godly friendships special and strong especially when miles seperate you. Thankyou for all the inspiration you bring.
