Inside Chatter Webcast Replay Available

January 30, 2013

Sheila and I had so much fun last night sharing stories and answering questions about negative inside chatter. If you missed it or just want to watch it again, we have great news… The video is below!

Grab a friend, a cup of coffee and possibly a notebook to write down nuggets of truth to help you combat negative inside chatter. Don’t wait too long though — the replay will only be available through this weekend!

Several of you have asked about some suggested “anchor verses” based on my teaching last night.  My new Unglued Devotional book has 60 of these Bible verses — one for each day with a devotion to help you fight the negative inside chatter that often accompanies unglued times.

Also I have to thank that lady debbie who asked that question about past sins that come back. I needed to hear about what to do. I have a pat sin that haunts me and I want to heal. Thanks again for doing this wecast. : )

  7. Roxanne

Thank you so much Lysa….. I just watched the video…. It is wonderful… I am into the 30th day of the 60 day devotional and it is blessing me abundantly. I pray many blessings on you as you begin this new chapter in your life with The Women of Faith. I hope to meet you one day….

Thank you Lysa! Wonderful webcast. Loved it! Do you know which WOF conferences you will be at? Their city by city page does not list you, as of last night. Would love to hear you along with the other speakers in DC! Or anyplace on the east coast I can make it to!

    • Lysa TerKeurst

      Hi Mary,

I’m actually on the west coast fall tour… but this spring I have a few WOF east coast dates. Check my speaking schedule by clicking on the speaking tab above and it will show you everywhere I’ll be speaking this year. Thanks for checking…

  10. Yvonne Whetzel

I just watched and listened to the webcast on inside chatter. I am 73 years old. I wish information like this had been available when I was younger. Praise God, you are reaching many women of all ages, one of them is my daughter, Laura Heppe. Women need to feel the trust of those close Christian friends. THANK YOU, LYSA AND SHELIA.

  11. Latosha

I want to thank you, Sheila and Tonia for the words that you shared. I didn’t realize all the negative inside chatter that overtakes me daily. This video really blessed me and has me thinking more on focusing on who I am in Christ rather than comparing myself to others or wondering what they all think of me. I can so relate to the stories and testimonies shared. Wow, God is awesome!

  12. Cyndee

I was so upset when I realized that I had missed the broadcast!!! Ugggg! Then I found the Re-broadcast! THANK YOU!!!! So enjoyed! 🙂

  13. Irene Dobson

Hi I have tried a number of times to watch the video from the link and all i get is a blank screen

  14. sirdua1210

Thanks for reposting this. I had a procedure yesterday at the hospital and was unable to participate. I can only watch in bits for the next few days so thanks so much. God bless your ministry.

  15. Donna Harris

Loved this broadcast. Signed up for a WOF conference. I am excited.

  16. Cindy L.

Thanks so much for making this available via replay. I had computer issues and could not get the live feed last night! Great message ladies!

  17. anne

Thank you for reposting this and for doing it in the first place it has really blessed me I have listened to it twice! I don’t have a single girlfriend because of inside chatter and also because women really are gossipy and caddy. I have had so many bad experiences with friends that I pushed myself away from everyone and just keep people at arms length. And because of this webcast just realized that its also do to all the inside chatter! I thought it was just me who after having lunch or meeting with people that I replayed the who thing in my head wondering if they thought this or that or if I said the wrong thing now they won’t like me etc.. I thought there was something wrong with me that I thought this way! So thank you Lysa and Sheila for your teachings. I will be praying now for God to bless me with some friends who I can trust competley!

    • Tara

      Praying for you Anne!

      • Susan C. Laack

I feel the same way. We have a group of women (older-single-women) who sit in the very back rows at church. They gossip and meet on Sat. ams for coffee and to discuss the latest “news”. I do not sit with them even though I am single and do not do any social things with them. I pray for them. My Lord expects more of me and I expect more of me. Sometimes we must detach ourselves from others. It is great as God has given me new friends and I love them in Christ.

    • Marla

Hey Anne. Would you like to become pen pals?? Let me know and maybe we can become friends online. That would be very cool. I’ve been praying for someone to mentor. Maybe that someone is you.

    • deb b

I am praying for you too, Anne. For healing and Christian girlfriends to come along side you. Bless You.

    • Lysa TerKeurst

Sweet Anne, you are not alone. I’m so thankful the webcast is helping you.

  18. Kay T

Thank you so much for posting! I needed to hear all of it, but especially the last story shared by Lysa – me too!

  19. C.J.

You mentioned about having a few close friends…which I have found to be difficult…especially in church circles. Sometimes in my brokenness I’ve felt the need to hang back from others…or have tried to get close but situations happen (someone’s religious spirit) wounded me. I am an introvert so like small groups but not big groups but find it difficult to feel loved by others so even if I hang out with someone, I don’t really think that they like me that well…or wonder why they never call me for something other than them wanting something from me.

I need safe friends…and to know that someone would accept/like me for who I am and not what I do.

    • deb b

I will pray for you to have safe friends and that the Lord will heal your hurts.

    • Laurie

C.J. and Anne, you’re not alone. I don’t have any close friends either. I don’t let most people get close enough to really know me; that way they aren’t close enough to hurt me. But it’s a very lonely bubble, and that hurts too. I will pray for God to help us find safe friends. I want to be able to trust people, but I have to put my trust in Jesus first. Even the best people will disappoint us sometimes. But if I let Jesus hold my fragile heart, maybe I don’t have to be so afraid of breaking it.

    • Tamara Western

C.J. Your comment struck a cord with me. I am an introvert too and find it hard to make close friends. I have some friends but no one I feel “close” to and feel comfortable sharing my “inside stuff”. I was actually jealous a little bit when Lysa talked about getting together with girlfriends for lunch or calling up a gf. I don’t have that and it is something I yearn for.

Anyway..just wanted to reply to your comment because it was so close to my same situation and story. Made me feel not quite so alone.

    • Lysa TerKeurst

Sweet CJ, you are not alone in your struggles. I’m praying for you right now.

  20. Allison C Bayer

Such a blessing!! Thank you so much for this re-broadcast. I’m going to loop it so that I can listen to it over and over until you remove it. Your lives, your experiences, your love and joy are ours today–thanks to EACH of you!! Hugs, Allison

  21. Julie

Thank you so much for showing this again. It was a blessing. Spoke to my heart.
As my husband left me 8 mos ago and we were married 35 years and I feel so much
like a failure and satan is speaking those things to me everyday. That I am not worthy.

  22. Tara

This couldn’t have come at a better time! I was dealing with some major negative inside chatter this morning and decided after praying about it to turn on KLOVE because it always lifts me up. Then I remembered this was available today… What a difference you have made for me! Thank you for just being you!

  23. Blessings Kawiliza

Thank you so much, this is very powerful and indeed after hearing this my life will never be the same. Be blessed.

  24. Tereza

I am so glad you posted the webcast because I tried to get on last night to no avail. But God is faithful! This message was very relevant for me. I saw myself in everything you said. Hold “unswervingly” To God be the glory!

  25. Maria

PLEASE…you HAVE to leave this video up! This is such a POWERFUL message and witness! I’m trying to get my daughter in college to watch it…she NEEDS to hear this!!!
You are both such an incredible blessing! God Bless You!!!!

  26. Susan Harris

Lysa, thank you so very much for doing this webcast!!! It’s unbelievable just how much negative inside chatter can control ones life!! The enemy LOVES to whisper lies that reach the very depths of our souls… and if we aren’t remembering who we are in Christ, it can over take our life. And the really sad thing about it all? When we are SO focused on listening to those lies there is no joy and no hope. Not only does Satan lie to us to create a division between me and my Lord, but he steals my joy as well!!

So, first of all, remembering who I am in Christ is key for me!! And the way to do that is to make sure I am staying connected to the Truth…. God’s Truth!! And by staying connected to THE Truth, I can have peace, joy, and hope!! I LOVE it!!!

Thank you, again, for sharing this wonderful webcast with all of us!
Many blessings to all of you for all you do!

  27. Gretchen Moffett

Please provide a print version of your webcasts for people who have hearing issues.
    Thanks and God bless.

  28. sue

I was wondering if we are able to watch the whole thing. when i watch it, it stops half way and wont go any further. I want to hear all of Sheila.

  29. Donna

The negative inside chatter is constant when you live with an alcoholic. Now, I am not complaining because this life has taught me so much about God’s love for me. I know how to control my own emotions, thoughts and actions. I have learned how to be happy and cling to Jesus in the midst of the darkness around me. Boy, that is a liberating feeling! This peace and joy is available to anyone who wants it, but it takes constant and consistent work. Thanks, Lysa and Sheila, for giving me more tools to use to help in my life.

  30. Monica

  31. Sue Molitor

Thanks Lysa! That was such a great webcast! Thank you and Sheila for doing it! It really blessed me! I am going to share this so more will get to see it!

  32. Gwen Foreman

Amazing testimonies! It’s comforting to know that you ladies share in some of the same struggles as myself. It took great courage to be so vulnerable and transparent with your audience. Thanks for sharing!

  33. Loretta P

    Thank you

  34. Becky Blair

Thank you for this message! It really hit home for me. I struggle with negative inside chatter on a daily basis but for every lie I hear from the enemy, I have God’s wonderful, truthful and faithful Word to replace it. It’s the most powerful defensive weapon we all have. Ladies, we are all Daughters of the King! **1 Peter 2:9** Blessings to all!

  35. Carrie

After all the kids were in bed, I occupied myself with a craft and your webcast. What a great message to reflect on! Thank you for your commitment to our God! Enjoy your time serving with Women of Faith.

  36. Jan

Awesome presentation! Thank you for your transparency.

  37. Aleithia Foster

    Hi Lysa!

I wanted to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to view the webcast that I missed on 1/29/13. I was very touched by what you shared and by what Sheila Walsh shared about the negative chatter that you both have had to deal with in your lives. I can really relate to the feelings of abandonment and rejection, not feeling worthy or good enough. Lysa, I can not even express to you the depth of pain that I am feeling. I have never read your book “Unglued”. I bought a copy of your book for my sister for Christmas and am hoping that I will get a chance to read it once she finishes it. Due to the financial straits that I am in right now, I can not afford to purchase a copy of your book for myself. Lysa, I am so lost right now. I am trying so hard to wrap my brain around one verse from the Bible. I am so boggled with worry and confusion right now. I can’t stay focused. Do you have any words of wisdom that you can share with me? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

    • Lysa TerKeurst

Dearest Aleithia…I’m praying for you right now. I would encourage you to scroll through the archives of my blog here and write down any verses that stir your heart. Then take one each day and look it up in the Bible. Read it in context with the surrounding verses. Then think on that one verse for a whole day … or maybe even a whole week. Think on it until you memorize it and watch what God does. He’ll interrupt negative thoughts you might have with the encouragement of His truth.

  38. Shawna Johnston

Thank you Lysa and Sheila!!! You have no idea how this webcast meets a need to many of us who don’t have access to women of faith or other ministries that showcase in larger centers! I live in rural Alberta, Canada about three hours from Calgary, AB. I attended Women of Faith twice in Calgary and thoroughly enjoyed it!! I hope to attend Women of Faith in the United States some time!! God Bless you both and thank you again for choosing a medium where many women can hear God’s truths through you!!! Love your book Lysa and am looking forward to getting the devotion book that goes with it!! Sheila, I read your book with Dorthy’s shoes on it…. Thank you so much for the lessons!! Prayers for you both in 2013 as you begin this journey together!!

    Lisa –

I too had an abortion at age 19 and felt all the same things you felt. It isn’t until this year that I actually began telling people at age 44 and am finally having healing. I just shared my testimony at the Not Alone Pregnancy Center Sanctity of Life Banquet last Friday evening. I could not even eat before I spoke for fear I would throw up. When I got finished speaking, I got a standing ovation. My healing went to a whole new level and I will definitely be sharing my story more this year. If it saves 1 child and 1 young woman from a life of torment, it will be worth it all. I had to set aside my pride and become broken. My testimony is available if anyone would like to read it. Just email me at [email protected]. Lysa, I love you and pray for you and your ministry daily.

  40. Christina

Thank you so much I struggle with the inside chatter so much, even though I know I shouldn’t listen to it. I was abuse for most of my single life from the time I was eight years old.I have so many friends that would be encouraged by this.

  41. Amy S

I am traveling from Alaska in October to Minnesota to see you at Women of Faith conferance! I can’t wait to see you ladies speak in person.

  42. Sheri Potter

This broadcast so touched me, my eyes are still filled with tears and I want to say thank you for the wonderful words of encouragement.

  43. Lee Patterson

I was very blessed by the video. Thank you for posting the replay.

  44. Tina

Thank you for posting the replay of Inside Chatter. I had signed up for the call but was unable to make it. I just finished watching the replay. It touched me so much. I hope to see future webcasts. Thank you Sheila and Lysa for sharing!!!

  45. Sybrina

Hi Lysa, This year I began facilitating a support group for moms who have sons/daughters with special needs. It is a partnership between Joni and Friends and my church, Cornerstone Church of Skippack in Pennsylvania. Last night we began your study, Unglued. Thank you for your work 🙂 This study is very encouraging. We all loved the idea of imperfect progress. May God continue to use you as an instrument of His love and truth in the lives of many, impacting families and The Kingdom. Xoxo Sybrina

  46. deb b

Hi! I am wondering, I posted a 3rd comment (the 2 saying I was praying for Anne and CJ and then 1 other one about the webcast) and I do not see it listed. Did I say something that was unacceptable to post? Thank you!

  47. Dorothy Jones

I so enjoyed listening to this website,I just happened to click on the website,I know it was a God thing,I have been blessed.

  48. Patty Johnson

    Dear Lisa,
I was totally bummed that the server would not let me access the live webcast. When the replay was available, I sat almost immediately to listen. Thank You and Sheila for the words of encouragement. I wrote a poem inspired by some things you both shared.

    The Veil Is Gone

    Torn forever, access complete
    The Temple veil is gone
Jesus declared with His own life
    “Finished. It is done.”

Cancelled, the debt, with the blood of the Lamb
    Dispelling my shadows of shame
From guilt to glory in the Presence of God
    Oh, Holy is His Name!

Dear friend are you worried, alone in your fear
And guilt that time can’t erase?
Let Jesus remove the veil of your sin
    Bringing forgiveness and grace

With unfailing love each day you will find
His compassions are fresh and new
Discover the trust God’s faithfulness brings
When Holy GOD walks with you!

This video came at the perfect moment for me. Lysa, I have read and studied through several of your books and admire your tenacity, courage, and transparency through life’s battles. I feel I can relate to you on so many levels, especially the inside chattering. To hear the gentle reminder from God that I am loved, I am His, and I am in his family forever felt like a wave of overwhelming assurance and peace swept over me. I want to thank both you and Sheila for allowing God to use your brokenness and healing as a tool of hope and faith to touch many lives, including mine.

  50. Karen Terwilliger

I know my internet connection is not great, but it keeps stopping at about 5 min and won’t go any further….. I have tried listening twice. I REALLY want to listen to the whole thing….. any chance it will be left up longer?

  51. Diana Alexander

Thank you for this amazing teaching and webcast. I just finished watching the replay for the 3rd time, supplementing my notes each time. A powerful Word!

  52. Kathy R

I really enjoyed the webcast. I was very glad that you guys chose to do a replay as I couldn’t make the original day/time.

I just wanted to say thank you for your encouragement. I feel like you are so down to earth, so real, and walking this walk just like me. You inspired me years ago to return to God after a painful past. I heard you talking about “Who Holds the Key to Your Heart” on the Proverbs 31 radio show.

Back to the webcast, your tip about holding a part of the Word with you all day has already helped me! I am so eager to see you as part of the Women of Faith team.

Peace, thanks, and blessings to you and yours.

  53. Noreen Linton

    Hi Lysa,

Thanks so much for the webcast replay, I so appreciated Shelia’s and your testimony.

I related to the feelings of shame you had re the abortion because I, as a Christian, had had an affair. My husband and I reconciled by God’s grace and now have a much happier and committed marriage, but I lived with a shame that kept me from going to any church for 15 years for fear someone would find out what I had done. We moved a few years later and didn’t even live in the same state, but the fear of being found out for what I’d done and the negative chatter in my mind, just continued.

I started a new job and was invited to go to an afternoon women’s meeting at a church. I went because it seemed ‘safe’ enough. Then I decided to attend this church every week and I fell in love with God and really understood that I had been forgiven. The Bible was telling me that God doesn’t remember my sin anymore but I couldn’t get past the thought that somehow what I had done had effected so many lives. One day in anguish I asked Him “How can You forget when others lives were effected, how can You forget?” I was so shocked to hear Him speak aloud to me saying “you have always been My perfect daughter”. I heard it with my physical ears and I was stunned!! but I knew that as He knows the end from the beginning, that was how He saw me!!

Wow! from that moment on I felt so FREE FROM CONDEMNATION !! He gave me a new life and I have been growing spiritually so fast ever since!! Praise You Jesus!!

P.S. In 2 months time my Husband and I will have been married for 45 years!

  54. JoB

Thank you for being the tool God used for me today. At 3am, with a heavy heart and feeling quite inadequate and hopeless, God led me to your website as I submitted a prayer request. Then, this morning as I logged onto my computer, God led me to your replayed webcast. Tears flowed through Lyza’s testimony of negative inside chatter, mainly because I felt the presence of God talking JUST to me, JUST when I needed Him, JUST on how to turn to Him when feeling the way I do. Thanks for the encouraging words and advice to stay focused and let His living word refresh me daily – even with just one verse. Today’s verse (per your webcast) is Hebrows 10:19-23. God bless you. God is good. I will keep pressing toward the goal of Jesus Christ in all I do and say.

  55. LaDonna Grafton

I REALLY enjoyed the webcast. Thank you for sharing valuable lessons with us. God bless you.

  56. Tasha

I missed the webcast and didn’t get to watch the re-play…sick kids, sick hubby….
I did order tickets for Women of Faith in September in Dallas.
    CAN NOT wait!!!!!

  57. Kathy

This link says “Replay unavailable”. Is that temporary? I really wanted to see the webcast (or the replay, at least).

  58. Loretta Hoffman

Thank you for being here with this message today. I have never not walked with God, and been through the pits and back many times over. Today as I am in a divorce after 15 years of marriage I watched as the last hope in my husband was abolished. I was taken to Psalm 40 and then to your hope and Jud’s book. We all know how much our Lord sacrificed for us and His love for us, but I need this book to get me through this time of ALL my hope being in my Heavenly Father.

  59. Debbie

Lysa- God ordered my steps to watch the webcast and post my comment which was shared during the webcast. Your story was so perfect.I wanted to email you privately but I know others go through your email since you have so much. I needed you to be my ” one” person.

  60. Jennifer S.

I missed the replay as I didn’t know it wouldn’t be available past this weekend : (. When I logged in on the day of the webcast I couldn’t get on your website. Will it be available again? I hope so!

  61. Debbie

I watched the Inside Chatter video replay. It was sooo good that I wanted to share it with my Bible study ladies, but it was gone 🙁 Is there any way at all I can get that video?

  62. Ruth

    Dear Lysa,

I have been a recipient of the grace that is being expressed through your life and leadership of this ministry for a few years and have been delighted to spread the news! When my friend in New York created ‘Godly Women’s Network,’ (GMN) last July, I jumped at the opportunity to share with other mothers the joy of reading and the stretching and fun that forming and growing a new community offers. Even before we completed our first book, your book ‘Unglued’, recently-published, caught my eye and I submitted the option to our leader. Now that we are two weeks out of completing reading your book, I can personally say that the journey is continuing. The approachable manner in which you wrote laced with the truth of God’s word, and the evidence of the grace places you visited along your own journey, were priceless. I know enough that words on a published page are a life’s work; a life’s pain and joy. Thank you for continuing to be faithful to YOUR personal faith and grace journey; I am closer to the best version of myself because of you. The best of me needing to emerge is being chiseled out slowly as I learn, relearn, inhale and exhale and allow ungluedness to lead me to my friend Jesus, over and over again.

    Here’s to imperfect progress!

  63. Sherry Thompson

Where is it? Which one do I click? Thx.

  64. icecube media

I really wanted to see the webcast. i want to see…..
