The Uninvited Webcast and a Special Surprise

August 9, 2016

Today is the release day of my new book, Uninvited: Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out and Lonely. Please hold while I do a happy dance which in reality is a cover up for all the nervous thoughts I’m currently having. Ahem.

Since it’s always good to have friends around you in times like these, I wanted to see if you’ll be joining me online for the Uninvited Webcast tonight?

If you’re not sure, here’s a fun surprise – my friend Tim Tebow will be my special guest for the webcast! Now I’ll hold while you do your own happy dance.

I had the best time talking with Tim just a few weeks ago on a Facebook Live we did. Afterwards, we kept the cameras rolling and did a special interview just for the webcast. The way Tim’s deep love for God spills out in extraordinary love for people is so inspiring.

I’ll also be giving a special message as well.

You can tune in live by coming right back here to my blog at 7pm EST tonight. And, if you can’t join us tonight, we’ll have the replay up tomorrow so you won’t miss a thing.

One last update I wanted to share with you is that Uninvited is currently on sale through Proverbs 31 Ministries for a special release day price of $11! But the deal is today only so be sure to get your copy by clicking here. And if you already got your copy this is a great deal to get a copy for a friend.

Lysa, your books always come at just the right time in my life and I think I have read them all! Many women have been blessed by your studies and I so look forward to leading this new one. The timing is perfect as my adult, married daughter has recently “Uninvited” me and her dad from her life. She has our only grandson, and the pain is nearly unbearable. I know your Godly insights will help point us back to God’s grace in these situations. And so glad for your speedy recovery from your “situation” recently. Keep up your good work in Jesus!

Hello Lysa. I am earlier come across your profile and the blog post but do not remember writing to you earlier but I am so glad to come across your profile once again. I am a Pastor from Mumbai, India. I would love to have a hard copy of your book ” Uninvited” . The ministry of Proverb 31 is amazing and we would be so interested to have some of you come to Mumbai to encourage our women in the churches. I love to get connected with the people of God aruond the globe to be encouraged, strengthened and praying for one another. I have been in the Pastoral ministry for last 37 yrs in this great city of Mumbai a city with a great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ tobring healing the brokenhearted. we also encourage young and the adults from the west to come to Mumbai to work with us during their vacation time. We would love to have your young grown up children to come to Mumbai to work with us during their vacaton time. God willing I will be coming to the States in the month of September and will be so glad to stop by your place and meet and see the possibility of your team coming to encourage our women in the churches. Looking forward to hear from you very soon. God’s richest blessings on you, your family na d friends.

This week has been extremely hard for me. I am adopted and Ive always tried to love harder to make my parent love me like he does my brother and sister who are biologically his. this weekend was a huge party for an uncle who turned 100. I am the oldest and spent a lot of time with this family since I was 5 years old. I found out about this party on facebook when I saw pictures of my brother and family celebrating… I was not invited. I am 44 I should be over this by now. I am a pastors wife a child of the King! I cried for days. I asked God to help me with this gut wrenching pain of acceptance. Then I went to my audible.com account and saw your new book UNINVITED!!! I said Are you kidding me??? Thank you Lord!!! You are amazing and remind me all the time of your precious timing! Thank you Lisa for being obedient to his word. God Bless.

I am pleasantly astounded that this book has been written! I was treated differently in my family because my uncle molested me.it was as if it tainted me even though I was a child. I understand a bit, how these ladies in India feel. So excited to read the book.

    Lysa,

I’ve been searching for a way to contact you and this is the only way I could find. I hope this message reaches you. My dad gave me this Uninvited book. And my parents have hurt me more than they will ever know. I couldn’t put your book down. It seemed like God’s hand at work that my dad, the one who has hurt me gave me the story of you and your dad. I don’t think he even knows what he handed me but just read the title. I’ve dealt with every little thing you put in that book. Minus the lion… I have been rejected by boy after boy after boy. I’ve searched to fill the gaps with sex and boys and everything because I was sure no one loved me. I was even told that by a few people. I lost touch with all my friends, and my parents definitely aren’t the “I love you, let’s find you help for anxiety” type. I knew God had given up on me. I could barely live life without thinking everyone I came in contact with hated me and thought me unimportant. Many nights on the shower floor sobbing. Sorry for my ramblings. But you should know just the impact you have had on me. I’m convinced God had you write this book for me. He knew I needed this. I’m not healed of anxiety yet, but for the first time in 13 years I have HOPE. You’ve helped me understand my feelings and I feel like you’ve been by my side through it all. I’ve shared this book with every girl I come in contact with now. I so badly wish I could meet you or just talk to you to thank you in person. Thank you for letting God transform your hurt so that you could help people like me.

If anyone on your team reads this please please pass it on!

I know I missed out on a free copy of Uninvited. I would still love to share part of my story of finding Love from my Father/Daddy God through a special person I’m close to for over 30 yrs. Its because of her allowing Jesus to show me what Love actually looked like.
From birth I was rejected and abandoned. My mother was not able to give what every child needs. To be loved and cherished. I struggled throughout my childhood and youth. One day a friend of mine had a Aunt that I went to church with. I had built a fortress around my heart and never felt loved until I met her. I’ll never forget the day she picked me up and we went to Andy’s Restaurant. We were sitting in the car and she started crying. She said she didn’t know how to reach me. At that very moment, I felt loved for the 1st time. No one had ever cried for me before. That was over 30 yrs ago. We bonded and communicate daily. She never gave up on me. I saw the Love of Jesus through her and it changed my life forever.
Always be compassionate and loving towards others cause you may the only Love of Jesus they have ever seen. Rejection scars the soul and cripples the emotions, but Gods Love heals the brokenness.

This is a poem I wrote recently.
    Remember My Child
    Your dearly loved
    Remember My Child
    You are cherished from above

    I loved you forever
    It remains unchanged
I’m always knocking at the door of your heart
    I will never go away

Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh
Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh
Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh
    I will never go away

    Remember My Child
    Sent from above
There’s no one else like you
    You’re my only one

    I loved you forever
    It remains unchanged
I’m always knocking at the door of your heart
    I will never go away

Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh
Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh
Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh
    I will never go away
Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh
Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh
Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh
    Oh Oh

Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh
Remember My Child Oh Oh Oh Oh

    I will never
    I will never
    I will never go away

    I will never
    I will never go away

Hi! We are getting ready to do the Uninvited Bible Study at our church. This has been actually advertised as a womens study – but someone has asked if it could be for men as well. I’m unsure. Normally it’s just us “gals” on our Wednesday night studies. Appreciate your thoughts! Thanks!!
