Lysa, I loved tonight’s webcast. The stories shared by you and Sheila were awesome in their transparency. Thank you both for opening up to us. May God continue to bless you, girls! You both ROCK!
I truly enjoyed listening to both Lysa and Sheila! What a blessing both are!
Thank you for answering a question I posted during the webcast. I would love to talk more to you about my question but not in a public forum. It was arranged by God that I cancelled our church women’s bible study due to bad weather which allowed me to watch the webcast. Do you have a personal email that goes directly to you?
Hi Debbie,
Thanks for your sweet note. I am so thankful you were able to watch the webcast. It was a special night for us as well. Please send your note to [email protected] and my asst. will make sure I get it personally. I promise I will read it and pray for you…
Blessings! Lysa
Thank you for offering the webcast, God spoke through you all in a powerful way. It’s comforting to know that I’m not the only one 🙂
Good Day
I just read the email about When My Wild Heart Pushes the Boundary on Bible Gateway, I seem to disagree with this statements made that compare dogs with human beings And my dogs aren’t the only ones who need to remember this lesson. I need to remember this, and apply it to the protective restrictions God has for me. I don’t think there can ever be a comparison or association between a human and a dog meaning you cannot take an example you make of a dog then take it to a human perspective. I do not remember any passage in the bible that speaks of dogs going into heaven or behaving themselves, I understand you love them but NO my sister no obedience or self searching can be compared to that of a Dog.
Be blessed
Thanks for your thoughts Nelly. I encourage you to re-read the devotion and see the story was meant as an example, not a theological statement. Thanks for letting me clarify.
I never got anything but an error message.
Like the person before me said, all I could get was an error page. The first try said try again. I was signed on with you to get it. Will look for it later.
Lysa,
I was so disappointed to miss the webcast last night. Upon arriving home I discovered I had been robbed! And you can imagine how disappointed I was to find my computer stolen! Our video camera and a purse that I rarely used that had some personal items in it. Including a check book for a business. Something must have spooked them because they never made it past my bedroom. So, not all was taken. (I am considering trading in my dogs or getting them hearing aides…they didn’t do a very good job of deterring the thieves.) Made for a very long night. Despite the sadness last night I managed to turn my feelings around and remind myself all that I am blessed with! Thanks for all that you do! And I will try to catch it when it’s posted. Have a blessed day!
Oh no Julie… I’m so sorry to hear that. But I’m thankful you are safe. Hopefully, you can watch the webcast this weekend.
Thank you for your transparency. It’s what we need as women but are so afraid to step into. Authenticity invites authenticity.
Thank you Karen… thank you so much.
I am so disappointed. I was not able to get in to the Web cast last night. I tried three times ten minutes before and right at 9:00 and I kept getting an error message or a not available message. So glad you are repeating the broadcast.
Lysa, I want to share the most ironic thing that occured last night. I texted an invite to watch your webcast at my house to a bunch of friends. It was upon my heart to do that…soooo outside my comfort zone and I’ve NEVER done anything like this before! But I struggle so much with inside chatter myself that I just followed my heart and was obedient to where God was leading me. Well, 8:00 CST came and went…no friends sitting on the couch along side me. Talk about inside chatter!! It was such a blessing to hear the message last night under those circumstances. I know that God loves me for me. And part of that love was sending ME the KLOVE verse this morning, “Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again – my Savior and my God.” (Psalm 42:11)
Thank you for all you do!! You are a true blessing!!
Wow Kim…. what perfect timing for that KLove verse and the messages shared on the webcast. You are not alone sweet friend.
Just wanted you to know that the webcast was AWESOME last night! It truly ministered to me and was such a blessing. Thank you Lysa and Sheila for being so transparent. Thank you for allowing God to use you!
Last night was the first time I had heard you speak, Lysa, and you were fantastic. I am looking forward to continuning to read your blog and getting your books/Bible Studies. I have been a big Sheila Walsh fan since seeing her on the 700 Club and then reading her book about the breakdown. I have attended many WOF events and love, love, love Sheila! I am looking forward to more webcasts! Keep them coming!
Dear Lysa,I would love to see them but I don’t have cable.Do you show somewhere else so I can watch them on my computer? Your website? Thank you,Julie
Thanks for asking Julie… but I’m so technically challenged I’m not sure how to answer. I don’t think you need cable to watch- just access to the internet. Hopefully, you can get on this weekend and watch the replay.
I can’t tell you how deeply your words touched me. I was just talking and incouraging a dear friend just last night about how we can handle when our daughters choice to make bad choices. See her and I are good at the old ” I am such a bad mother” bit everytime they do something awful.. and God knew that I needed to hear you say that my idenity is not placed on the fragile choices of my kids” Lysa it was as if God spoke it thru you right to my heart. I love tht He loves us that intimently. thank you.
Last night was AWESOME!! I was SO blessed by both of you being so real and transparent. I have lots of (negative) inside chatter. I have shared about your webcast last night with several friends and am forwarding this website to them. I bought the Unglued book a few weeks ago – I can totally relate, I tend to blow my cool often. I bought the Unglued Devotional today & this afternoon the Day 1 verse has been going around in my head (good thing:)). I have read most of Sheila’s books, again I can relate (depression & time spent in facility many years ago). Thank you both for sharing so much truth about your life’s and “being real”. Blessings.
Wasnt able to watch the web cast…did you get the winners already?
Lysa, the stories you and Sheila shared were so awesome. I struggle so much with my own inside chatter, and satan always makes me think that I alone in it. I hope that one day I too can feel that veil ripped open. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Me too x2.
My husband & father to my children walked out on us almost 4 months ago. Although we never really celebrated Valentine’s day…my heart is heavy for this trial we are going through. Seems like every holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas was extremely difficult) is a reminder of what used to be. My children & I have for the past 3 years grown our relationship closer & closer to God while my husband stayed in the stagnant waters of worldly desires including his need (as he put it) for “individuality”. We continue to rely on God as our light in this dark time.
I drop a comment when I like a article on a website or I have something to add to the conversation.
Usually it’s caused by the fire displayed in the article I read. And on this article Lysa TerKeurst | Thanks for Joining us!. I was actually moved enough to drop a thought 😉 I do have 2 questions for you if it’s okay.
Could it be just me or do some of the comments come across as if they are
coming from brain dead visitors? 😛 And, if you are posting
on other social sites, I’d like to follow you. Would you make a list every one of all your public sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
