A couple of years ago, a friend of mine gave me one of my favorite gifts ever. It wasn’t expensive. It wasn’t complicated.
But it was special.
It was just what I needed. A daily reminder of God’s love typed out on strips of paper, folded, and placed in a box.
The Scriptures were personalized. Like little love notes sent from God’s heart to mine.
I have since given this gift to many friends. Friends that needed a reminder. A fresh perspective. A simple note of truth in the middle of their day. Tucked in a little box.
This is such a sweet gift for that person in your life going through a hard time.
Or someone who could use an extra dose of daily encouragement.
Or that friend you want to make feel extra special.
And you know what else I really love about this? It helps this craft challenged, non-baking girl actually make a gift for someone that doesn’t scare them. Or cause them to wonder if my kindergartner made it.

I loved the idea. When I was a child I remember in my mother’s kitchen cubboard a blue box and the lid was attached with ribbon and on the box was a little inscription a promise a day and as you opened it . All these sciptures were rolled up and you picked one out and read it and put it back. There were about fifty of them all place beside each other and each day you were blessed. This idea brought back this lovely memory.

Liza this is a great idea…I am starting a second home bible study tonight…What Happens Women Say Yes to God…With the last one I gave journals and pens…I’m going out today to pick up cute little boxes….thank you so much for the Idea. We have reallly enjoyed doing your study and am looking foward to doing this one. I have to tell you when my Pastor told me it was time to spread my wings I had had enough studies that I now needed to lead, I did not not think anyone would be interested in coming to my house for a study. But we offered your Becoming more than a Bible Study Girl, and hoped that at least 10 would sign up, we got 15 of which `13 came weekly this time we have 17…It is thrilling to see God working in our church and our community as three of those coming tonight do not attend our church. Thank you so much for passing this wonderful and truly blessed idea. I have a 15 year old daughter who, about a year ago, revealed to her dad and myself that she had been inflicting pain by cutting. She bears the physical scars of the lies that Satan had told her, but she now Glorifies the One who Paid for her slavery that she was in and now she lives with the Father of Truth. I am going to go out today and buy a very special box and create this for her. What a wonderful way of waking up in the morning, feeding your spirit with such delicious food and before going to bed, snacking on the love and truth of Her King. Thank you so much!!! I love this simple idea to share God’s word and love with others. I simply used the Word “Find and Replace” and inserted the name of a fellow congregant that is battling cancer. I’m going to find a small, floral box at the local $ store and type up a little card of inspiration to leave for her in her normal Sunday morning seat.
