Merry Christmas

This Christmas as we gather around the table, our family prayer is that your life may be enriched by the powerful reality of who Jesus is and the sweet gift of His saving grace.

…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.

  1. Brenda says

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Lysa. Thank you for all you do. May the Lord’s blessings rain over you and to all that come here.

What a great picture, you have a beautiful family.
thank you for you post on how to pray for Sandy Hook families, my friend here in CA lost a niece there and just got back from the funeral. I circulated your post with two homeschool groups and other prayer warriors. So many people praying. One person has a large group of people who want to do something for the families and they have decided to help out through my friend’s family, whether donating a jungle gym to an orphanage in the niece’s name, or some other big donation to charity in addition to seeing if someone in Newtown needs anything specific. My friend who was there said the outpouring has been amazing.
Merry, Merry Christmas. Thanks for all you do and yes, I will finally be sending my year end donation to Proverbs 31, we all so appreciate your hard work.

Today is traditionally Boxing Day here in the UK. A day to recover the excesses of Christmas eating and we traditionally go for a walk on a beach or in the countryside to remind us of the simpler things in life.
Thankyou for your Christmas greetings and the lovely family picture.
I am about to start the New Year with The Unglued 60 Day Devotional.
Thanks so much for all your work to encourage and build up women of God everywhere. Keep it up with renewed strength through the Holy Spirit in the days to come.
Every Blessing and A Happy and Prosperous New Year to you.

Your family is beautiful. I watched the 10 minutes video you have under your schedule of speakings today and I have the same cry about throwing my cup at everyone else to fill. My marriage is a wreck and I feel hopeless. Thank you for being real with us and allowing God to use you.

  14. Diana says

Dearest Lysa ~ You entered my life recently when I picked up your book, UNGLUED. My pastor and I decided that we are going to do your UNGLUED Study Series for our Women’s Bible Study Group. I am so excited to see what God has in store for us.
The real point in me sending you this message is to let you know how thankful I am. I am praising God that you “have gotten into God’s Word and have allowed God’s Word to get into you.” I have been so impacted by your book, and now your videos. (Tomorrow I’m starting the Personal Study of the Participant’s Guide.) Thank you for being faithful to our Lord in service to Him to take the time, energy, and money that it required to put these teachings into my hands. The Lord is teaching me and I’m going to make imperfect progress…actually, the Lord has already begun making imperfect progress in my life and I just wanted to say, “Thank you.” So, thank you Lysa. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for touching my life that I may touch the life of another for our amazing and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
May God continue to richly bless you and your family. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Read UNGLUED; absolutely the BEST book I’ve evere read. No other book has opened my eyes so much. Now, I still come unglued at times, but I try to look at the root of what I feel, what I want, and how to say it correctly. Your book has taught me to “take thoughts captive.” Its so amazing how much less stressful life is when I turn it over to God. Just got the Devotion and Participants guide as well. Looking forward to starting them!

  16. Peggy Jones says

I downloaded the app to my iPad but it doesn’t open. Any ideas as to why? Just started reading your book Made to Crave and finding it hard to put down.

  17. Leah Turner says

Happy New Year to you and your family! I just wanted to thank you for being God’s instrument in my life as 2012 ended and this new year has begun. My husband and I have been struggling with the issue of having a 2nd child for about 5 years now and we always are looking for answers in the opposite directions. I approached the subject again and the next morning he emailed me your daily devotion about The Unraveling of a Marriage. It was just what we needed as a couple and other God things have happened over the past few days. We have made the commitment together to pray about this issue and ask God to show us together what is right for our family. My husband is at the Passion Conference and I am at home reading your book, Unglued. It has encouraged me and helped me see a different perspective on this situation. I know this is all God but even though we’ve never met you have been the instrument that has help us to see God’s plan. So thank you and God bless.

  18. Alomia says

Happy New Year Lysa. May you and your beautiful family have DADDY GOD’s overflowing love, favor, joy & peace upon you always.
My name is Alomia C Govender, better known as Lomi. I am from South Africa. I am married, struggling to have kids, name on the adoption list. My hubby purchased your book, “What happened when women say Yes to GOD” as a christmas gift. I love it. Wow, what an awesome book.
    Thank you.

  19. Kari Wendroth says

    Hi Lysa,
I’m just stopping in to ask your prayers for our “Made to Crave” study starting tomorrow (1/3.) So far, 5 women & myself will begin the journey at 5:50AM CST. We will meet weekly on Thursday mornings for 13 weeks to travel through the curriculum in the “Made to Crave” ministry kit. As the leader, I am also on this journey for the first real time; I began the book twice before but quit due to the conviction and not being “ready” for the commitment.
We are looking forward to seeing how God works in the lives of those who love Him!

  20. Lisa H says

I am asking for prayer today Lisa, as I am starting out the new year in depression and anxiety. I am struggling to find God’s presence even though I know he is there. Any suggestions would be greatly received. I keep praying for God to take me out of this state. Thank you.

Now that Christmas and New Year are over, those who suffered the great loss of family members need our prayers more than ever. More importantly they need to know the love of The Almighty God. I am in Australia but the sad events in the States still touch ours hearts.
