I am so excited about the time we’ll spend together via the “Yes to God” Webcast this Tuesday at 8pm EST. Ann Voskamp and I have a special time planned for you.
It’s an honor to know you’ll be taking part in this exciting event. Ann and I will inevitably be sweating and wondering why we thought this was a good idea at about 7:46pm Tuesday night. So, any prayers you might lift up on our behalf would be pure grace and wild love. Thank you.
We are also happy to announce that our hostess will be Tonia Bendickson. You may remember her from my ‘Made to Crave’ Webcasts earlier this year. She’s amazing and will not be sweating at 7:46pm.
Several of you have asked some great questions so I thought I’d answer them in one collective post.
How do I sign on Tuesday at 8pm EST?
Simply log on to www.LysaTerKeurst.com at 8pm and you should be able to see us and the twitter feed rolling live.
What will you and Ann be discussing?
We’ll both give individual short messages on Saying Yes to God. My message will be about external obedience and the 5 questions to ask yourself when you think God might be speaking to you. Ann’s message will be about internal obedience and positioning your heart to experience God. Then we’ll come together to answer your questions sent in through twitter. To send in a question via twitter use #yestoGod in your tweet and we’ll get it!
Can I invite others to watch?
Absolutely! It’s helpful if you encourage them to register at www.LysaTerKeurst.com in the sidebar. However, anyone can log on to www.LysaTerKeurst.com at 8pm EST Tuesday evening and join us! It’s one night. One hour. Completely free. Gotta love that.
What if the dog eats my calendar and I forget to tune in on Tuesday?
Welcome to my world. Stuff like this happens to me more than I’d like to admit. So, I understand how these things happen. No worries. We’ll be replaying the webcast on demand Wednesday beginning at noon and all day Thursday of this week at www.LysaTerKeurst.com. Since it won’t be live, we won’t have the twitter feed running but other than that, you won’t miss a thing. You can also email the link to all your friends that miss the live event and have them watch the replay as well!
What if I have problems logging in on Tuesday night?
Don’t panic. Keep trying to log in. And use the below info to answer your specific technical issue…
What if I see a white box with a red x in it?
You need to install the free Flash plugin for your browser. Go to this link and choose your operating system and browser. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
I see the countdown fine, but when the webcast should start, the screen goes gray.
Refresh your screen. In Firefox, go to View -> Reload. If the webcast doesn’t start playing then, press the Ctrl+Shift+R keys. In Internet Explorer, click the Refresh button or press F5 on your keyboard. If refreshing does not help, delete your temporary internet files.
Why is the audio/video choppy?
The live stream uses different technology than YouTube. It does not download anything to your computer and store it. If you have high speed internet you should be fine. However, if you have a lower quality internet connection, the audio/video may be choppy.
Okay sweet friends, I think we’re all set to go. Now if I can just find something to wear, that would be grand. I’m not supposed to wear black, white or patterns on camera. Since that pretty much describes my entire little wardrobe, I may be in my pajamas. Lovely.
