Oh sweet sisters… your prayer requests yesterday stirred my heart and gave me such a since of what an important community we have here. I don’t take your requests lightly and neither does Pastor Steven. He emailed me last night to let me know he and his prayer team will be personally praying through each and every request by name.
How cool is that?
Of course, I tucked in a few of my personal requests for them to pray over as well.

First, let me thank Lysa for allowing me to use her blog to discuss my upcoming book, Sun Stand Still. It’s an honor to partner with an amazing leader as we try to spread the word about the book and the movement we’re praying it creates. I’m grateful for Lysa and Proverbs 31 Ministries for partnering with us to see it happen.
As we’ve continued to approach the release of Sun Stand Still, people have been asking me what the essence of Sun Stand Still is. What is my goal in this book?
Simple: I’m out to activate your audacious faith. Not just your faith. But your audacious faith. I’m out to inspire you to ask God for the impossible. And in the process, to reconnect you with your God-sized purpose and potential.
You could think of Sun Stand Still as a one-volume theology of audacity. You probably don’t have one of those yet, but it’s essential. In fact, if you ever encounter a theology that doesn’t directly connect the greatness of God with your potential to do great things on His behalf, it’s not biblical theology.
Audacious faith isn’t some newfangled, extrabiblical variety of faith. It’s the raw material that authentic Christianity is made of. It’s the stuff that triggers ordinarily level- headed people like you and me to start living with unusual boldness. To begin approaching God with confidence and believing Him for the impossible.
But if you’re like most Christians, audacity is not a word you would use to describe your faith.
Every believer in Jesus has a measure of faith—it’s the prerequisite to salvation. But after that, if we’re honest, we think of faith primarily in terms of a spiritual thought or a comfortable feeling. We hope it’s enough to get us to heaven when we die. But in the meantime, it’s barely enough to keep us praying, giving, and going to the eleven o’clock service. Sadly, faith for many of us is nothing more than a drug to sedate us through a life we hate.
Sun Stand Still is a declaration that it doesn’t have to stay that way.
You were saved for something more than that.
You are not destined to have to settle for the lowest common denominator of faith. You are not the exception to God’s power. To His miracles. If you are willing to embrace audacious faith, you can and will see God accomplish the impossible right in front of your eyes.
Wow. Thank you Pastor Steven for those words. Nothing like a little Wednesday mid-week pep rally to really get my soul pulse pumping. I guess the reason I’m so passionate about this message is because I’ve known what it’s like to live a ho-hum faith. But then I was ruined for good. Tasting audacious faith does ruin us in the best kind of way.
Are you ready to live beyond typical check-list Christianity? Are you ready to live the adventure your soul was designed to live? I am. I’m there. And I’m loving it.
Yesterday, we mostly prayed impossible prayers for others. Today, leave a prayer request for yourself and whatever part of this post stirs your heart. Again, I’ll pick 5 commenters to win an advance copy of Sun Stand Still. All winners will be announced tomorrow.
