I had one of those embarassing moments – I had been a model for a women’s luncheon fashion show. Everything went great. I changed into my own clothes and returned to the buffet line. With my backside to everyone, the waitress came to inform me that I should “take notice of my slip.” Well, my slip was all that could be seen. Yep, the skirt was tucked away! Thanks for being REAL! I love your blog.
Would love to see you at a conference.

Joyce, the link takes you to another post Lysa wrote describing her diet plan. If you scroll to the bottom of that post there are several links to other posts where she talks about it more.
I can’t wait to get these dvds!

Lysa,
First I want to say thank you for Proverbs 31! I stumbled across a book several years ago in a book store and found the P31 website in the back of the book, (I couldn’t buy the book that day). I went to the site and started getting the monthly news letter which was very encouraging. You and the ministry have been a blessing on and off over the years ever since. In fact just last year I had a book study in my home “The Ultimate Makeover”. Any how the reason I am on your blog today is I was just watching “Life Today”, a favorite of mine that I haven’t watched in months. You were their guest and you said some things that spoke to my heart, I’m sure many womens hearts! The thing that was specifically for me was about blogging. I feel with great excitement and trepidation and fear and joy that perhaps one day I may have the privilege of writing. Not for the purpose of writing a book but for the purpose of teaching and encouraging women the word of God. As I have been praying about it just the last 2 days I have started thinking that perhaps I should start by blogging short parenting devotions from the word and see what happens, (I’ve never thought of this before). Just yesterday I did a rough draft of an initial opening blog. I really don’t know where or how to start. Do you have any encouragements or recommendations?
P.S. I am aware that P31 has speaking and writing workshops. Perhaps one day I will also have the privilege of attending a learning from the hearts and minds of like minded Sisters in Christ. Until then I have the greatest blessing to sit at the feet of the Savior and learn from Him.

Saw you today on Life Today! Please pray for me – a young family friend died yesterday, our son found him, tried to help but was too late.I can’t begin to tell you the thoughts and feelings that are streaming in …… yet, will this be what changes many?

it does look like you are having fun. I hope you and Holly are enjoying yourselves!
Thanks for the note the other day. I do read even if I don’t comment as much. Life is busy with the two jobs and there has been some work stress.
Please say a prayer for me as we go into the fall. Sept 1 is daunting since it means summer is over and the holidays not far away. I need to come up with a way to enjoy them. There are just too many struggles associated with them. I need a way to connect with others and soak in the meaning. I probably need to come up with ideas now, so when November comes, I can put them in place.
I’m praying for you!

I’m looking forward to your new book. Although I must tell you that I get the giggles when you skinny people take on this topic. I’m curious to see what God has stirred in you.
